Taylor had been drifting away for a while and I started to get nervous for her. I went over to her house and I knocked on the door. Her mom, Selena answers the door.
"Hey, Lexi. Taylor is upstairs." Selena says.
I run up the stairs and I knock on Taylor's door. No answer.
"Taylor, can I come in?" I ask, knocking again.
Still no answer.
"Alright. I'm coming in." I say, opening the door and walking in.
The sight I see is a sight that I thought I would never see, Taylor laying on the ground, deep cuts on her wrists. I scream, and I fall to my knees.
"Taylor. Please. No, walk up." I yell.
"Lexi. Wake up!" I hear a voice yell.
I look over to see Selena yelling my name.
"Selena? I'm not sleeping." I say.
"No, baby. It's Marissa." The voice says again.
I shoot awake, panting hard and crying.
"What happened?" Rissa asks.
"Taylor. She killed herself. I need to call her make sure that she did not actually, you know-," I say, pulling out my phone
L- Taylor?
T- Lexi?
L- A-are you ok?
T- Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?
L- Sorry. I just had a dream that, well you just have been acting distant lately, and well, I just wanted to make sure that you were fine.
T- Me? Distant? You are the one that has been distant. I haven't talked to me since June of last year.
L- Well, I invited you to my birthday party and you said you had something going on, but Ellie told me that you didn't.
T- I did, but then my mother cancelled it last minute and then when I called Ellie to tell her to tell you that I can come, she said that you were kidnapped, and she gave me Demi's number. I helped her the best I could to find you.
L- Sorry. I-I didn't know.
T- Lex. You're fine.
"Lexi. Demi is on the phone." Rissa says.
L- Tay. I have to go. Promise me that you'll text me this weekend. I'll see you in school.
T- Sure. Love ya.
L- Love ya, too.
I hang up and I take Rissa's phone.
"Hey, Mama." I say.
"Hey, Babygirl." Mom says.
"What's up?" I ask.
I find it peculiar that she is calling me, and she just left.
"Phil just called and said that if you want to, you can go into the studio and record some cover songs." Mom says.
"Sure." I say
I hang up and I run upstairs to take a shower. When I get out, it is almost 12, which means lunch.
