KAY POV

*****

I climb into Grandma's car with Dally and Maddie. I have over a dozen of bags across my arms.

"Thanks for the day out." I say.

"Anytime. Let's get home so I can start working on dinner." Grandma says.

We pull out of the parking lot and next thing I know, we are pulling into the driveway.

We walk in the door and Mom is laying on the couch cuddled against her best friend, Marissa.

"Hey, Mom." I say.

"Hey sweetie. Did you have fun?" Mom asks.

"Yeah. I got some new clothing that I can wear in New York." I say.

"Mentioning that, are you all packed for New York?" Mom asks.

"No." I say.

"Well, go pack." Mom says.

I dart upstairs, and I go into my room, pulling my purple suitcase from under my bed. I neatly place 3 days' worth of clothing in it. I hear a knock at my door and I turn around to see Alexis standing at my door with tears in her eyes.

"Lexi, what's wrong?" I ask her, dropping my things on the ground and walking over to her, sitting her on my bed.

"I was looking out my window when I saw Jack kissing another girl in his backyard." Alexis says, sobbing.

"Oh my gosh." I say, giving her a hug.

"She had long blond hair and a skinny frame. If he left me after 2 months with me, she has to be better than me in every way." Alexis says.

"Alexis. She is not better than you." I say.

Alexis starts to sob louder, and Mom comes rushing up the stairs and into the room.

"Lexi. What's wrong?" Mom asks.

"She saw Jack kissing another girl in his backyard." I say.

"Babygirl." Mom says, giving her a hug.

ALEXIA POV

*****

I lean into Demi's shoulder, crying my eyes out.

She picks me up and carries me out to the living room.

"Baby. Tell me what's going through your mind." Demi says.

"The girl that Jack was kissing was so much prettier than me. I bet you they are still out there, sucking each other's lips off." I say.

Demi gets up and goes to my room. I follow her as she steps out onto the balcony and she peers, into Jack's yard.

Demi's eyes go wide when she sees Jack kissing another girl.

"Hey. Jack. I knew I couldn't trust you. You stay away from my daughter." Demi yells at him.

He stops kissing her and turns to look at us.

"And for the record, we are done. I never want to see you again." I say.

I storm back in and I sit on my bed, my anger being taken over by my tears.

I start to cry as Demi wraps me in a hug.

"Baby. It's not just that. What else is wrong?" Demi asks.

"Well, I feel as you love Kay more than me because you have known her longer." I say.
