Chapter 23: Date

Tahimik akong nagb-browse sa cellphone ko nang may kumatok sa pinto ko.

"Come in!" sigaw ko without throwing a glance to who might it be

"Ganyan lang ba ang damit mo sa date natin baby?" natigilan ako sa pag scroll sa phone ko at tiningnan ko siya

I can see through his eyes that he wants to tell me something...

"Who says na sasama ako sayo? I want to rest." pataray kong sagot sa kanya

"You can rest tomorrow. But today, you'll be my date so dress yourself up." with that iniwan niya na ako

*sigh* Why he's still bossy and grumpy at the same time.

I chose to wear a simple cream boho top paired with ripped jeans and flat sandals. I applied light make-up para lang ma-enhance yung ganda ko.

I'm ready for my date with my Kuya. :)

Pagkababa ko, naabutan ko si kuya na naglalaro sa phone niya pero mukang naramdaman niya ang maganda kong presensya kaya naman tumayo siya at lumabas agad ng bahay... TAKE NOTE! Hindi niya ako niyaya nyan.

Lumabas na ako at nakita ko siya sa tapat ng kotse niya. Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto sa panssenger's seat. In fairness naman, ang gentleman ni kuya :)

I don't want to talk to him so I turned on his car's stereo and the music playing was Better Days of Dianne Reeves. It's so peaceful and relaxing to my ears kaya naman ipinikit ko ang mga mata ko.

"Baby, I know you have questions that you want to ask me. I'll explain everything just please can we act like how we are always?" rinig kong sabi niya

I slowly opened my eyes and speak without looking at his direction

"Alright, Kuya. But promise me that you'll tell me the truth about everything." I said plainly

"Yes. I promise." and he lightly patted my head

I faced him and smiled. My sweetest smile...

"Thank you, Kuya." I said

We arrived at our destination which is in an amusement park. The ticket line was so long I felt that it's a line for a blockbuster movie.

"Kuya, bakit dito?" kunot noong tanong ko sa kanya

"I just wanted our date to be memorable." at ngumiti siya sa akin

May ticket na pala ang kuya ko kaya di na kami pumila sa blockbuster na pila. Una naming sinakyan eh and Disc-O Magic ride. Nakakatawa kasi hinatak ko pa si Kuya para sumakay. Just imagine that a grown woman pulls a man to ride. (Funny eh?)

"Baby, para kang bata." tiningnan ko siya habang nakapout kaya hinila niya yung nguso ko

"Ooowcchh ku-yoo. Ngusoo koo." at saka niya lang ako binitawan

Umupo na kami sa upuan at kinabit na ng attendee ang harness namin just to make sure it's safely locked.

AT AYUN NGA! ANG SAYA! I miss the old times when we are with our parents. We may seldom go here but they make sure that we make happy memories.

After that ride, next in our list is the haunted house. Then we did the Rio Grande and Log Jam. We got wet with those rides so our next picked ride was the Flying Fiesta.

Kuya and I chose separate seats. We took pictures together and then after that amazing ride, we bought new clothes to the amusement park's souvenir shop.

"Kuya, why didn't you tell me?" I asked while taking a bite with my pizza

"Sorry, baby. For me it's nothing important and I don't want you to think that I have another special girl in my life." saka siya malungkot na tumingin sa akin

"Why Kuya? Sa tingin mo ano ang nararamdaman ko ngayon knowing that the ex-fiance of my ex-love was your ex-girlfriend and now, your girlfriend again? I felt worthless when I heard that you and that witch are together." sabi ko sakanya habang pinaglalaruan ang topings ng pizza

"Don't think of it that way, okay? I may have Thamara as my girlfriend but you will always be my one and only baby sis. I love you." then he slightly patted my head

"I love you more, Kuya. Sorry for being selfish." I said half smiling

"Let's just forget what happened, okay? From now on, I'll tell you everything. I promise you that." he smiled angelically

After having lunch. We continued the rides that are in our list; Space Shuttle, EKstreme Tower, Anchor's Away, and lastly the Wheel of Fate.

We watched the sunset together. We even swear that we'll tell each other everything; no lies and secrets, then we sealed it with a pinky promise.

I had fun. I enjoyed the day with Kuya Jk. All I know is that I missed our bonding especially him. He never fail to make me feel safe and secure.
