Leaving Party

Ryan's POV

"Lets make tonight count!" Shouts Jack.

Now Jack is my best friend. We've been through a lot together and made so many memories. Then there's his girlfriend, Dani. Dani is so sweet and kind and Jack and Dani deserve each other - they're also really cute! They are both great people.

Anyway, Dani follows on by cheering "For Ryan! Let's make this a night to remember!"

And everyone cheers "For Ryan!". And on that note, everyone continues to party as well as grabbing a drink or two to enjoy the party even more.

I've got to know the best people at Sunny Side Daycare and I'm really going to miss them. I hope we all stay in contact.

Throughout the night I can't help but notice a girl stood all alone. She's got long brown hair and is wearing a bright and colourful play suit. It kinda makes her stand out I guess you could say. After about 10 minute of procrastinating about going up to her, I eventually approach the girl and I feel myself getting a little nervous. I shouldn't be nervous but for some reason I do. I've done loads of other things no where near talking to a girl I don't know so I can't get my head around why I'm nervous. However, she looks really pretty... Ryan get yourself together! You don't know her! You don't know what she's really like! What am I thinking..? She's clearly a sweet, innocent girl. Just, shut up brain.

"Um, Hey?" I say eventually and she jumps a little. "Oh sorry! I didn't mean to startle you".

She turns to me, "It's ok, don't worry. I was just in another zone. And Hi". See brain, she's innocent.

I smile, more relaxed, "Good, but if you don't mind me asking: Why are you here all alone? I mean, being in a packed club by yourself isn't the safest thing.".

She averts her eyes to the floor, "Well my friends started to have an argument and it wasn't going to stop anytime soon so I ran off because I hate arguments and arguing" she shuffled her feet around on the floor. Clearly she isn't in a great state so I'll introduce myself - maybe she'll like having someone to talk to and be friends with seeing as she just left her other friends,

"Oh, sorry to hear about that - I'm sure they'll work it all out.".

"I sure hope so" she says as she looks back up at me.

"I'm Ryan by the way, nice to meet you" I hold my hand out.

"Hai Ryan, I'm Ash. Nice to meet you too!" She shakes my hand and instantly a big smile appears on her face indicating that she's happy - thank god.

Ash is a nice name for a girl like her although she looks like a Tori, "Ash is a nice name. From over there I would have said your name might have been Tori so if I call you that you know why. I don't have the best of memories".

Ash laughs a little, "that's ok. I won't lie but I would have called you Cutie.." immediately her eyes avert to the floor once more.

I laugh a little and I see that she is blushing, "don't be embarrassed. I'm fine with it".

Once again, a smile appears on Ash's face and we both laugh about names and nicknames.

"So Ryan, what are you doing here yourself?" She asks after a while of just casual talk.

"It's my leaving party as I'm leaving Sunny Side Daycare. All my mates are over there doing their embarrassing dances and having a drink or two".

"Ah right. If you don't mind me asking, why did you come over here? You should be partying with them right?".

"Well I kept seeing you alone and wanted to make sure you're ok. Plus I needed an excuse to take a breather".

"Ah Ok.".
