The End

So a few days had passed and Ryan was able to leave the hospital and so he did. Cookie and Tom stayed a little longer to help me look after him and the kids which was kind of them. Thankfully the food poisoning went away fairly quickly so everything went back to normal soon. Ryan's siblings said their goodbyes and left to go back to their own homes - Tom happily moving into his own house with Matt and Cookie sharing an apartment with Kat and Lizzie. Emily started primary school whilst Freddie stayed at home with us.

Before we knew it, a year had flown by and it was time for Freddie to start nursery. Me and Ryan returned to daycare, beginning to create the good old daycare content again. Boy how we had missed it. Something else that happened during the year that passed by in a flash is Rob was somehow let out of prison. We think the adults bailed him out with random success. Either way, no one is happy so we've decided not to make contact with the adults because of it. That is until they showed up out our door whilst we had a party at out house with the whole daycare over and friends. I remember it like it was yesterday.

"Someone's at the door" Matt shouts.

"I'll get it!" Ryan shouts back as he makes his way to the door and I follow. He opens it, giving a friendly welcome but cutting himself off when he realises who stands at our door step. "hello how can- what do you want?"

The adults simply step aside to reveal Rob. They all smirk, Stephanie step forward a little to speak. "you think we'd let you get away with locking our beloved son up in jail for life? No way. He's the most loved child out of you all and we will not loose him to some crazy lunatics"

"Oh we're the lunatics now? At least we didn't let our kid try and kill their sibling for almost every day of their lives. At least our family doesn't have a psycho or three related to them. Or someone who bails a murderer out of jail. At least we're a family"

I could see those last words shocked them as it took a little longer for them to reply. "well at least we are adults and care about our kids and siblings unlike you with Rob"

"He's a murderer for Christ's sake!! What do you think?! You think I want to live happily ever after with idiots for parents and a psycho brother? No. No I do not"

"Who and what even are you anymore?"

I look to Ryan for his response and he's hesitant, averting his eyes to the floor and shaking slightly. "I'm a skinny kid with a steadily declining mental health..."

"W-What?" Everyone asks in unison - by now everyone has tuned into what was happening.

"You heard me. I'm a skinny kid with a steadily declining mental health"

"Since when? Ryan what happened?" Asks Matt from behind, resting a hand on Ryan's shoulders.

"It started when I locked myself away when the whole Lexi situation happened. I visited a doctor and a therapist in my own time after not feeling like myself. They told me my mental health was declining and I knew it from the start, just didn't realise that although it was steadily declining, it had declined a lot. More than it probably should have. I'm sorry, I don't mean to get all depressing on you but I'd have to tell you all about it at some point"

I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes but I was determined not to cry. Not right now at least. This meant we will lose Ryan sooner than we'd all like. "R-Ryan are you going to be okay? I mean, like, it is alright now?"

He shuts his eyes, shaking his head slowly. "no, no it's not all right now. I'll get into it afterwards. For now let's get these off of our doorstep." And with that he shoves them all backwards and shuts the door, getting out his phone and dialling something. He goes off into another room, coming back when he's done and before we know it we have police at our door. Ryan talks to them and they hand him some papers and push the psychotic trio still stood outside our house into their police cars. "Come, come" he says to us all and we follow him into the living room.
