The Phone Call

Hai! I wanted to do something more with my YouTube channel and more with Wattpad. So. What do you guys think about me posting these chapters on YouTube as well, except on the YouTube version there is music corresponding with the current event/moment/situation/area they are in? I don't know. It gives me something to do with my channel with about 7 videos on it which are just songs and one or two edits (lol). Tell me what you think! I'd like to get your guys' say as you guys are the base of my profile/account/life here on Wattpad - which I enjoy very much! Without further wasting your time, let's get into this new chapter! Ryan's POV

"Ay Zach my man! What's cooking?" I ask as I approach my good friend.

Zach turns around with a smile, bringing me into a hug with not seeing me for a bit. "Ryan! You're actually alive. Wow. Thought you died or cried your days away with this random quote on quote divorce"

I laugh. "Yeh, I tweeted that knowing the uproar it would cause. Ash caught onto my plan and responded to my tweet making it more believable. It was funny and was it going to let it carry on any longer than it should have - that would have just been mean"

"Oh for sure. Glad you guys weren't divorcing."

"Same here. Same here"

"Anyways, I'm cooking up some pigs in blankets, skewers of all sorts and grilled chicken. There's some bites to eat on the buffet table already as little starters. Go help yourself."

"Yum. Will do thanks. Don't burn the place down!"

He laughs. "I'll try! No promises aha". He resumes cooking and I head over to my brother. Last time I spoke to him was when I saw the adults and they disrespected everyone. Not a good thing to remember.

"Tom!" I shout as I approach him, catching his attention as he spins rounds with a smile on his face.

"Ryan! Bro come here!". He holds his arms out and I hug him when I get to where he his. "I've missed you bro. Actually believed what everyone was saying about your tweet"

"Everyone's said that so I'm honestly not that surprised aha. How's things with Matt and with life?"

"Things are great. Absolutely wonderful with Matt. Couldn't ask for a better man to spend the rest of my life with"

"Cliché But suppose it's true"

"Shush you, you can't say anything. You will have said to Ash - except woman not man"

I laugh with him. "Yeah whatever."

"And life? Yeah, it's pretty awesome although the adults somehow got into with me - nothing major!"

I frown. "What happened?"

"They were being all nice, kind and friendly. Pretending to be the happy family we were supposed to be once upon a time. Trying to lure me to come back to them. I, of course, denied any offers from them and blocked them straight away"

"Would have done the same. Wonder why they've done that. It's not like them to try and unite the so called family - that split in two."

"Except it's not the parents splitting in two. It's the kids separating from their parents by choice and wishes". I hum. "But yeah, it is very strange. Weird. Never in a million years would I ever think of them speaking to me as approachable and light hearted as they were"

"My say is just not to trust whatever they say. They're probably trying to get you in their side so they can get Rob out of prison and get up to no good once more. Probably try and kill me while they're at it"

"Would Be no surprise if so"

"Hey boys. What's going on?" Ash Asks as she approaches us, standing next to me.

"Discussing life is all. How are you?"

"I'm great thanks, yourself?"

"Feeling Good my friend, feeling good"

She smiles. "Good. Um, anyway, Ryan? Cookie is asking why you aren't picking up your phone"

"Oh what?" I respond. "She's been calling me? Huh, doesn't normally do that. Um, I think my phone is on silent so yeah"

"I'll tell her that. You best call her back though. Sounds concerning to say the least"

"Oh god. Okay. I'll be inside if you need me babe"

"Okay". She's so nice and beautiful. Ah I love her.

Before I make my way inside I give Ash a quick kiss. I lean against the counter as I slip my phone out of my pocket and selecting Cookie's number - the ringing tone playing shortly afterwards. Not too many beeps go by until she finally picks up.

"Hello?" I hear her say.

"Hey Cookie, whats up? Ash said you were trying to call me and sounded concerned" I explain.

"The adults are trying to plot something!!"

"What? How... how do you know? What's happened?"

"They called me being all sympathetic and sorry. They apologised endlessly and sounded genuinely sad but I caught them out immediately - I heard them talking about how to get me to go back to them as I picked up. They don't know that I heard though."

"Huh". That's what.. why? What?

"Ryan?"

"The same thing happened to Tom. What? How? Why? What is the reasoning for this? I don't see any point in it. They know we despise all three of them with a passion and will never reunite with them even if it saved us"

"True that"

"So just.. w- I don't understand"

"Me neither. You said Tom got the same call?". I hum. "And yourself?". I shake my head, laughing when I remember she can't see me.

"Nope. Nothing from them."

"We'll be careful and don't fall for it"

"Hold up, um this is going to sound crazy but, why don't When - or if - they call me, I tell them we all accept to go back to them but be like undercover spies"

"Do you want us to die?"

"Granted they might kill us - me mainly because that's what childhood was but still. We'll pack emergancy stuff and make a plan n stuff"

"You know what, sure. I'll do it"

"You will?"

"Yup. At the end of it all we'll catch them doing something bad or find something out that's terrible or what not. I just want to get them going. In prison. There's one down but we still got the adults who created the problem - cough cough Rob cough cough - so count me in"

"Oh, uh, alright! I'll tell Tom, you create a chat"

"Will Ash come?"

"I don't think so. She has two kids to look after. One not far from being a newborn. Just a little older than one"

"Fair enough. Right, I'll do that. You go tell Tom"

"'Kay, bye"

"Bye". The call ends and I put my phone back in my pocket as I make my way outside and over to Tom - telling him the plan and asking if he's in.

Thankfully he decided to help and I inform Ash in everything that's happening and that's going to happen. She's hesitant but allows it as she, too, hopes to prison the adults.
