Chapter Twenty
Scarlett's POV
I stare at the suitcase another few minutes after I text Matt. How am I going to get out of here? I look around the room, should I bother packing anything?
Quickly, I grab my carry on bag and fill it with the necessities. I scan the room one last time, before quickly sneaking out. I can hear voices down the hall that sound a lot like his and...is that Alicia? Matt's assistant trainer? My face pales, so that's how Nate knew about everything.
I quietly creep by their room, trying to slow my breathing, and block out their voices.
A few minutes later, I walk into the lobby, wide-eyed and shaking. Alessia turns to the sound of my carry on bag dropping on the ground.
She opens her mouth to say something, but I cut her off. "Please help me, he's gonna kill me," I whisper, tears filling my eyes.
"I know, I already called in a favor with a friend. We're gonna get you out of here."
I nod my head, sending a few tears scattering towards the ground. She motions me to come over. I grab my bag and walk over to her, hesitantly.
Leaning in towards me, she lowers her voice. "Mr. Nicolau, a dear friend of mine, he is flying his jet in, which means we need to leave now," she grabs my arm and ushers me out of the room, "he will be flying you back home, to safety."
I nod, not able to use my words. No stranger has ever been this kind to me. We ride to the airstrip in silence. I continue to shake.
What if he finds out I left?
What if the old lady is in on it?
What if I die anyways?
What will happen to Georgia?
Why is Alicia in on it?
Is that Nate's mistress?
All of these questions are stopped when the car stops. I turn to Alessia, panic in my eyes.
"It'll be okay dear, I won't let anything happen to you." her calming voice soothes me.
"Yeah, but what about you?" I croak out.
She smiles at me, "I'll be okay, just worry about yourself. Call me when you're safe." She hands me a piece of paper with her name and number on it.
"Thank you," I wrap my arms around her, giving her a big hug.
Grabbing my bag, I board the jet, giving her one last wave before entering it completely.
My heart continues to race until we have taken off from the ground.
Matt and Georgia, here I come.

Nate's POV
"Are you ready?" I ask Alicia.
A devilish smirk is plastered to her face, "Of course, let's finish this bitch."
We slowly walk to my room. I motion to Alicia to follow me and stay quiet.
Slowly, I push open the door, "Oh Scarlett," I say in a singsong voice before stepping into the room.
I freeze. "Scarlett!" I bark out.
Alicia pushes past me, "What are you doing," she questions.
I scan the room once more.
"She's gone."
