Chapter Twenty-One

Matt's POV

I frantically scan the airport looking for her face in the crowd. The police are scattered throughout the airport, waiting for her arrival. They also had notified the police in Greece, they should be on their way to arrest him and his accomplice.

I stand on my tippy-toes, looking for her. Where is she? Did she make it? Did he catch her?

My head fills with every worse idea possible. Then, out of nowhere, I spot a head with dirty blond hair. Instantly, I knew it was her. Don't ask me how I knew, I just knew.

"Scarlett!" I shout, causing the people around me to give me strange looks.

Her head pops around the people in front of her. "Matt!" she yells when she sees me. It is something out of a movie when she comes running towards me, her arms spread. I catch her as she leaps into my arms.

By this time both of us are crying as we hold each other tight. The people around us begin to clap, but I hardly notice, I'm too caught up in our reunion.

"I'm so happy you're home," I pull away to look at her, cupping her face in my hands.

"I love you so much," she chokes out between tears.

"I love you too," I put her down, she looks at me confused.

That's when, to the disbelief of Scarlett and everyone around us, I drop down on my knee. Her eyes grow wide.

"Scarlett, I have loved you since the first time I set eyes on you. I've loved you throughout all these years, even when you said you felt nothing for me anymore. I've never stopped. I love you and our daughter more than anything and I don't ever want to be left without you, again. So Scarlett, will you marry me?"

Her hands fly to her face as I pull out the ring. "Yes! Yes!" she shouts as she wraps her arms around my neck, once again, the people around us go wild again. I could not be anymore happier than I am right now. I held her close and tight until the police came to gather her statement. I stay by her side the entire time. Not once letting her out of my sight

Nate's POV

"Police! Open up!" they bang on my door.

Fuck.

I'm left with two choices. Shoot myself, or go to prison. Just as I reach for my gun, I stop, as an idea comes to me. I put the gun down and walk to the door, turning both Alicia and me in.

The police slap handcuffs on us and lead us out the door. The old lady at the front desk smirks at me, I shoot her a stone cold glare. She will be the first one I murder when I break out.

I willingly get in the car and sit down. Scarlett may think that this is the end, or the finale. But she's wrong, the finale is only just about to begin.
