Y/N POV
I walk into the most disappointing place on earth, school. You know when you're a kid you get all excited about school but then pretty much 90% of the teenage population realizes what school translates to, living hell!
I walk in and see the one and only Flash Thompson almost hit my friend Peter with his car
"Hey knock it off Flash!" I shout and hit his car light just enough so it doesn't break. Then Flash parks and gets out of his car, he comes walking toward me
"Sorry, Mrs. Parker! Would hate to rough up your little boyfriend," he mocks "But, word of the wise, unless you want the rest of your year to suck ass, stay out of my way."
"Oh my goodness I'm so scared!" I declare, feigning fright "The guy who picks up chicks in his dad's Audi only to get no action is going to hurt me! What'll he do?"
"Screw you, Penis Lover!" He shouts at me
"In your dreams Thompson!" I retort and start to walk next to Peter
"You know you should stop getting on his nerves or I'm gonna have to come to rescue you at some point," he says chuckling
"Trust me, I can take care of myself, Parker," I say as I reach my locker
"Whatever you say princess" he smirked as he got to his locker. I winced when he said the same nickname that Spiderman had called me the weeks before
Spidey and I had been working together for quite some time, and the crime rate had gone down drastically in two weeks. We had this chemistry when fighting which was hard to explain. I even got to meet Tony Stark! I still have no idea who Spiderman even is. Suddenly I'm snapped back into reality by Peter's voice
"Y/N, did you hear me? I said let's go to chemistry," he says pulling me to our room
"Sorry I was lost in thought" he stopped pulling me but hadn't let go of my hand which made me blush. Instances like this were common with my ever-present crush on Peter.
I remember how I realized it back in middle school.
I was sitting at lunch waiting for my friends Peter, Ned, and MJ when the school mean girl, Mary Jane, walked up to me
"Hey, Sybil! Is the one-woman freakshow still going on?" Mary Jane said with a sneer
This was back when I didn't understand my powers so I was convinced some higher power was doing it. I know that's not true now but back then it led to terribly public panic attacks that everyone in our grade knew about thanks to Mary Jane.
"Behold, Midtown Junior Highs resident Witch!" She shouted to the cafeteria
"Witch, Witch, Witch!" They started to chant. I felt tears well up in my eyes when I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up and saw Peter
"Mary Jane, why don't you shut it? You've had your fair share of memorable moments. You remember back in elementary school when you used to have a crush on ...who was it again Mary?" He asked tilting his head
"Don't you dare Parker," she said through clenched teeth
"Hm... on the tip of my tongue," he says tapping his foot
"Shut up Peter," she says
"Got it! Tommy Windbreaker" he says in victory
"Windbreaker?" I say chuckling
"Yes Y/N before you were in our class there was a kid named Tommy Windbreaker, known for his, well you-know-what's. He and Mary Jane were a cute couple once. I even saw them kiss behind the slide." he said slyly. At this point, the whole cafeteria was cracking up and Mary Jane was storming out. I used a little rock power to move a tile so she's tripped right into the garbage can. Now that was perfect
"Thanks, Peter, you're the best," I say grinning from ear to ear
"No problem," he says and takes his seat next to me. He noticed my cheeks were still wet from crying so he wiped it away with his hand. I take the time to study his features and realize one thing. I'm in love with Peter Parker
And from then on I always knew
I smirked at him "If you're that scared just tell me you don't have to squeeze my hand that hard" he then flushed red let go and paced into the classroom with me chuckling behind him
~fast forward to lunch~
I walk and see my table with Peter and Ned with MJ on the end and begin to walk over when I'm stopped by our 'school power couple'
"Hey, Mrs. Parker!" Flash says
"Wow, Mary Jane you went from Windbreaker to Flash, what's next? Or should I say who?" I say smiling
"Oh, we just wanted to say hello and hope the powers that be are doing well" Mary Jane smirks. I groan and begin to walk off and see Peter come over, probably to check if I am okay
"Okay see you later Sybil" Flash hisses and I stop in my tracks I can feel all eyes on me. I feel my hands shake and I can't move my feet
"What? Witch girl, can't float away?" Flash smirked. Before I even realize he's here Peter slaps Flash and pushes him to the ground. Mary tries to pull him off but I push her over before she can and grab Peter's arm
"YOU NEVER TALK TO HER LIKE THAT AGAIN YOU HEAR ME" he shouts as try to take him away
"Fine I take it back get off me Parker," he says and walks away but not before mumbling you two are perfect for each other
I quickly grab Peter's hand and run out before a teacher can find us. I pull us into a supply closet. I don't even let him talk before I pull him into a hug
"Thank you, Peter," I whisper in his ear. Slowly he puts his arms around me too. I don't care anymore I gotta do this
"Peter let me tell you something and promise we'll still be friends either way," I say and he nods
"I like you, Peter. You're funny cute and you always stick up for me even if you don't have to and if you don't like me that's okay but please be honest" I say hiding my face in the crook of his neck and before I can regret everything he does something unexpected... He kissed me. I was kissing Peter Parker... I WAS KISSING PETER PARKER
