Hiding in my Hoodie

I will be living in my hoodie until the end of high school, neigh, the rest of my life

And all because of stupid Gwen Stacy. She's the hottest girl in school, why would he ever pick me over her? But I'm not mad because he picked her I'm mad at him because of what he did

I just had so many feelings for Peter that if I bottled them up any longer I would probably explode. But I would rather explode than go through what happened yesterday...

I finally had the guts to tell Pete how I felt, with some extra motivation from MJ. What was the worst thing that could happen? He didn't like me back, honestly, I could live. But what happened was so much worse

I saw him standing at his locker and not a lot of people were around so it was the perfect moment, though it was still awkward because Ned and MJ were watching from around the corner

I tapped on his shoulder and he spun around to face me with that perfect smile and gorgeous eyes and, wait! Back on track

I took a deep breath and just said it the plainest way I could "Listen I need to tell you this, I like you, like a lot. You're really funny and cute and we've been great friends so I hope this doesn't ruin that so yeah" I finished and closed my eyes waiting for a response

But the voice I heard wasn't Peters, it was Gwen

"Oh look, seems like someone didn't get the message that Peter was going out with me. As if a hunk like Petey here would ever pick you over me" I opened my eyes in shock and she was recording, Peter just stood there with his head down. He just looked expressionless

"As seems like your little crush doesn't like you back lover girl. Looks like you gonna be lonely for a while" she says and I feel my eyes water "Come on Petey"

"I still gotta get my stuff, meet you out there" She nods and walks off and Peter walks over to me

"Y/N I-" Before he can finish I start to walk in the other direction and see Ned and MJ

Ned engulfs me in a hug and I sob into his shirt, Gwen would post that to show the entire school

MJ runs up and shouts at him "No Peter! The time to be helpful was a while ago! You could have said something or at least made her turn off the camera, but you didn't!" She turns to me "Y/N I'm so sorry I should never talked you into this"

"No Michy, this isn't your fault," I say "I was stupid enough to do it" I run away and into the little patch of the school only MJ and I know about

I crouch down hug my knees and begin to sob again, soon enough MJ finds me and pulls me into a hug

As of right now, we are in the very corner of the cafeteria me hiding in my hoodie and sharing a giant Snickerdoodle MJ bought for us with MJ and Ned

I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to see Peter

"Peter just go," I say coldly and turn back to my food

"Ok I know what I did was the worst thing a human can do to another human, and I'm sorry I should've done something but I was stupid enough not to," he says looking right at me "But I want you to know I told her I'm not gonna talk to her anymore and I stole her phone and deleted the video"

"Thanks," I say and continue eating my cookie

"What do you mean I haven't apologized yet?" Peter says smiling. I raise my brow and he runs off

I'm still confused but five minutes later he comes out in the big old trench coat and a phone speaker. He gets people's attention then walks to an empty table and turns on the music

At first, he was dining around dancing to singing in the rain, then he rips off the hat and trench coat and breaks into Rihanna's Umbrella.

He goes up to the table. And starts dancing on top of them. At this point, I dying of laughter with my hood off. People are filming him and he's going up to the cameras making dumb faces

He winks at me and then flips in the air. Suddenly a banner drops behind him saying WILL YOU GO ON A DATE WITH ME Y/N/N?

people are clapping and walk over to him and give him a hug

"Of course, I will stupid!" I laugh, grab his hat from the table and place it on his head. He spins me around and then pulls me into a kiss

I smile and wrap my arms around his neck

Maybe I won't be hiding forever
