Yo so this is one based on Lucas from The Impossible, yeah

Y/N POV

Me and Lucas have been best friends since we were little, we live right next to each other. We all decided it would be fun to go on this trip. Me, my parents, and Lucas and his family.

Lucas isn't like other boys, he never tried to act differently around me. But there was something I never saw before with him after this happened, fear

He and I had been sitting with his mom in the hospital for a while, I still hadn't found either of my parents

Maria sent us off to go help so we've been taking names of family members and trying to find them for people

We had finally found one father his boy. Lucas and I smiled at how happy they are

"Luke?" I say my eyes still forward

"Yeah"

"Do you think I'll find my parents? I mean what if they're dead, what if-" I ramble

Lucas grabs my hand and holds it in his "It'll be ok y/n, we will find them"

I rested my head on his shoulder and for the first time after all this, I felt happy

~fast forward~

Me and Lucas are still looking for peoples family members and we checked one final group of patients

I'm looking down the rows when I see a familiar necklace around a woman's neck, I grasp mine and study her face

I cup my hand over my mouth and start crying with joy. Lucas asks if I'm alright then looks at the woman realizing my joy

I wrap my arms around her neck whispering 'I thought you were dead, you're alright!'

Lucas starts to get up and look at him "Where are we going now"

"You're not going anywhere, I am"

I shake my head "Luke no, I can't leave you" I say grabbing his hand

"It's ok, you need to be here," he says smiling at me

"Promise we'll see each other again," I say softly tears slowly making their way down my cheeks

"Promise," he says

I engulf him in a hug and look back at his face holding it in my hands and seeing his eyes go glossy. I kiss him softly on the lips and whisper in his ear

"Goodbye, for now, Lucas Bennet"

~fast forward to then getting to the planes~

I'm walking as my mom is being carried on a gurney, my dad was found and he got his final words.

I walking towards the plane when I see a familiar head of brown hair. I notice his brothers and dad and start running

"LUCAS!" I shout, he slowly turns around looking for me

Once I'm in eyesight he starts smiling. I run into his arms feeling safer than ever. I'm laughing while tears of joy come again today

"We found each other," I say still laughing

"When I make a promise I keep it," he says arms wrapped around my waist

When we get on the plane I sit next to Lucas and rest my head on his shoulder drifting to sleep

I think this story might just have a happy ending
