Logan's pov
I was summoned rather abruptly, as was Patton judging by his state. His hair was somewhat messy and his glasses were crooked."Kiddo there's no rush. You're not Speedy Gonzalos." He laughed a bit and took of his glasses to wipe them on his shirt.
"Uh.. Thomas? Why are we the only ones here? Shouldn't you have summoned Prince and Anxiety if you're about to discuss a dilemma?"
Thomas was pacing slightly. "Well... even if I wanted to, I can't seem to summon Anxiety. And Princey would have no one to tell him when he's being to extravagant. I just wanted to know; should I make the first video tomorrow? I don't have a lot going on except for a party but I'm not sure I want to go to it. I wouldn't know anyone there and I barely know the host." He explained quickly.
Patton slipped his glasses back on. "Nope. Didn't work. I'm still seeing two of you." He smiled.
Thomas paused but I saw a small smile on his face after a few seconds passed. "I got it." He grinned.
Patton was about to say something else, presumably another pun but saw the clock and changed his wording. "What are you doing up this late? It's not good for you Thomas." He gushed.
"I'm just really worried about this decision."
"What decision?" He must've been distracted. I explained Thomas's problem briefly.
Patton nodded understandingly. "Well... I suppose it would make your fans happier if you posted earlier. Plus if no one at the party knows you and you don't want to go, there's no pressure. If it makes you uncomfortable there's no need." He shot a look my way as if asking for my input.
"I.... actually agree with Morality's method of thinking. You shouldn't stress yourself out about something that doesn't follow social protocol. If this party was for a friend, or if a friend were nervous about going, you should probably go based on, from what I understand is the feeling: guilt. However, if no one you care about will be there, don't go. Be more productive with your evening."
"It's not that I don't care about them!" Thomas rushed to say.
"We know kiddo. You just aren't as close with them." Patton smiled. "Now why don't you go to sleep."
Thomas nodded, "Yeah, sleep sounds good. Thanks."
"Of course."
We both sunk down and Patton gave me a questioning look.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"You act like we've never agreed on a choice before." Patton mumbled.
I took my glasses off and loosened my tie, as I was going to bed soon and answered, "That's because more than often enough, we don't. Patton, we're polar opposites. It's just some issues that come with our traits."
I turned and started walking back to my room, taking my tie off completely.
"Yeah but...," Patton followed me, "..Don't you think that we could find a way to get along more? We seemed to get closer a few chapters ago, so what's different now?"
"'Chapters?'"
"I... I mean months."
"Nothings different. See you in the morning." I shut my door.
<<<flashback<<<
"Logan?" Anxiety asked from my doorway.
"Can I help you?" I asked as I set my paper down, slightly annoyed. People have been coming in and interrupting all day.
