Romans pov
After a long time of sneaking, I had made it to the room. When I quietly opened the door, I immediately took note of the giant cage in the back. There must've been a hundred traits locked up.... the next thing I saw was the guard. I quietly took out my small dagger, swiftly shutting the door behind me.My plan was originally to sneak behind the guard and stab her but she saw me in an instant, "Hey! You!" She pulled out her sword and I followed suit, tucking my dagger away as I ran towards her. In the background I heard traits speak up, shouting towards me, hoping I'll help them.
I swiftly killed the guard as I've had more sword practice. And walked over to the cage. I saw a figure pushing others out of the way, "Krissy?"
She had a black eye, holding her wrist, and blood on her shirt. Jesus....
"Krissy are you ok?"
She glared at me as best she could but didn't speak. In fact, she had a hand over her mouth but she lowered her hand and glanced to the side.
"...I... oh Kris I'm so sorry...."
She shifted under my gaze, covering her sewn mouth again.
It was probably to keep her from using spell.
I grabbed my dagger and sighed, reaching through the bars. She flinched back. God's I feel so guilty.
"Krissy, it's me. I won't hurt you, I promise."
She looked at me with distrust but didn't move away any more.
I cut the thread without hurting her as far as I could tell.
She looked up at me, "The last person who said 'I promise' was Logic to Morality when he asked if I was ok."
"Kristen, I'm truly—"
"Save it! Resérare!"
The gate flew open and traits came flooding out but none dared speak.
Kristen looked to the crowd and they returned the gaze with mutual respect.
"Now, listen up. This is how it's—"
I blacked out.
Virgil's pov
"Are we there yet?" Patron asked, slightly jokingly. He seemed surprised when I answered with, "Yeah, actually."
He looked up at the castle, getting a bit nervous.
"Remember, everything's on pause."
He seemed to relax a bit at that point and we cautiously walked towards the castle. We hadn't come across anyone outside the castle.
Logan opened the gate, which was oddly unlocked even though there weren't any guards around.
"I... uh.... I don't like this." Patton whispered.
"Me either." I muttered.
Patton reached down for my hand, holding it tight. I looked up at him and he tried to smile reassuringly.
