                              Cassie POV
We levered Cory onto the ground after we both safely guided him out of the car. Cory was surprisingly light; it's almost as if I'm not doing anything at all. He looks so serene and peaceful like a sleeping angel. I took one of his bloody and bruised wrists, placing two fingers upon it, checking for a pulse. "Ty, he's got a pulse; it's faint, but still there. I'll call an ambulance." "No Cassie don't, not yet. The only way we can save Cory is- well it's better if I show you." Ty said, then proceeded to bite his wrist leaving two puncture holes and a steady stream of blood."                                                       "What are you doing? How did you-"Ty shushed me by lifting his hand and placing his warm, pale finger onto my lips. He released his hand and with supersonic speed he put his wrist to Cory's mouth letting the blood trickle into Cory's throat. "What the heck is wrong with you? Why did you give Cory your blood?"
Then it dawned on me: super speed, enormous strength, rapid healing, anxiety in public places, teeth sharp enough to puncture human skin and bloodletting. It was like all of the strange things that have been happening since the night of the concert flashed before my eyes. I felt like a frozen statue- numb and unable to move.
"You finally put all the pieces together didn't you?" I gulped, not out of fright, but from taking it all in. One of my best friends was a vampire! "I'll explain everything I promise. I'll answer any question you may have if you want to know. Or I can make you forget all of it if you want me to, but right now the most important thing you need to know is that my blood will heal Cory. Take him to the hospital say he tripped and hit his head. I'll deal with the car. Once you've made your decision, meet me at our usual spot." Before I had a chance to reply he vamped out of sight along with the wreck of Cory's car. As I let out a deep sigh I didn't 'even realise I was holding....
