Hmm what to make the chapter about. I honestly don't even know.

Random POV incoming.

I haven't really done much writing but I also don't want this to stretch on for months while I think of something so here's an update.

Luhan's POV

...

I sat behind my small desk at four in the morning, having yet to go to bed. I yawned, then shook my head to fight away the tiredness. I still had a lot of work to do. Maybe it wasn't a lot in comparison to what Heechan had in Korea, since Yixing was still a prince, but I still had a lot of things to go through. Now that it was decided he would take over this year, his lessons had to resume. There was wedding planning I had to do for him, even though he was having a large hand in planning it. And last night at ten Emperor Nakamoto called and wanted to arrange a meeting between Yixing and his son Yuta.

"Go to bed will you," a voice spoke above me. I glanced up, then sprang up out of my seat, dropping into a bow at the same time.

"Your Majesty, welcome," I greeted Queen Zhang. I thought of myself as very fortunate in times like these. Because I was so closely tied with her son, and because Yixing often reminded them that I was also human, she had a habit of visiting me to make sure I wasn't running myself into the ground. "What are you doing up this early?"

"I came to make sure you weren't overworking yourself," she said, motioning behind herself to my bed. I'd admit, it was tempting. "Yixing would be crushed if he could see you," she reminded me. I sighed, closing the lid of my laptop. She knew my weaknesses well. Then again, she always had. "Your father would be very proud of you," she added.

"Yeah, I like to think so," I replied softly, glancing up as tears threatened to spill as with every time he was brought up these days. Queen Zhang smiled sadly and patted my shoulder. "Well, ma'am, thank you for checking up on me," I told her. "I'll get going to bed."

"Alright Luhan," she said. "Sweet dreams. And thank you. Thank you for always being there for Yixing. I know it's not always easy, but I find comfort in knowing that he always has someone to turn to in times of trouble."

"Of course," I replied, this time my smile soft and fond. "I've loved being able to have a hand in raising him to be who he is today. I should be thanking you guys. For whatever reason, you decided I was right for the job. I hope I've done a good one."

"Plenty good," she assured. "Alright Lu, I better get going before he suspects something." She chuckled to herself. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight ma'am," I called as she left. And once she was out of sight, I turned off my desk lamp. She was right though. Yixing would be beside himself if he found out I'd been up this late working. So I decided enough was enough for the night. I changed into pajamas and crawled under the covers. "Goodnight Dad," I said to my empty room. "I miss you. So much." I screwed my eyes shut, willing away the feeling of sadness.

Another night perhaps, but not tonight.

Yixing's POV

...

"Where's Luhan?" I asked mother as we were getting ready to go out to lunch together. "It's noon and he isn't up. He's always up by now.

"Maybe he's just taking it easy today," she said. "After all, the one year anniversary is coming up." At that, I grew silent. Right. The passing of his father last year. I'd honestly forgotten. "Don't look like that," mother told me. "Just give him a bit of space today, alright?"
