My go to happy place is this story. I love it so much. I love the interactions and I love the story itself. It always feels good writing for this one.

Throwing it to the future again.

I tried writing this already but it was TRASH so I deleted everything and we're starting fresh

Yixing's POV

...

"This feels...so nice," I commented, easing myself onto my back and lacing my fingers behind my head. Junmyeon splayed his fingers against my stomach, sending another electric shock down me. I shuddered at his touch and glared at his cheeky grin, but couldn't even bring myself to be mad. My husband averted his gaze and found our children nearby. "They'll be alright," I assured him, tugging his arm. "Lay with me. We haven't had much peace and quiet these days."

"I know," he said, stretching out beside me and propping himself on his elbow. "I just worry about them." I leaned over and pecked his cheek.

"I know baby, I know," I said, watching with delight as his eyes snapped back to mine, a childlike wonder shining in his expression. It was a nickname I hadn't uttered in quite some time. I was reminded now of why it shouldn't have stopped at all. "I worry too. But you and I are right here. Luhan and Heechan are here. Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Zitao, Hyeja, and Ying Yue are also here. Our children are safe." Junmyeon sighed, throwing an arm over my chest and gazing up between the trees to the sky above. He mouthed things to himself only he knew.

It was high time we got everyone together in one location. Our closest friends and advisors. It hadn't really happened since the wedding. Countries didn't just stop and run themselves. But father said he would oversee business for a day so we could all gather together and exchange stories and just be with each other. It felt so nice being surrounded by everyone I adored so much.

"Uncle Xing!" The shout barely registered before I felt a weight fall on me. I hissed out a breath and picked up the culprit, a cute little tot belonging to Baekhyun and Chanyeol. He giggled, his legs pedaling the air. "Uncle Xing!" he said again, throwing his arms open and giggling. I found myself smiling as I sat him on my chest.

"Hello Sungbin," I told him. "Are you being good for your daddies?" Enthusiastic nodding followed my question. I sighed a little. I missed my boy being this small. DaeHyun was now ten years old, and very independent already. I wasn't ready for him to grow up. Sungbin laid across me, stretching his arms out.

"Uncle Junnie," a now soft voice said. Junmyeon grinned ear to ear as he scooped him up, smothering him in kisses as he giggled and giggled away. I caught Chanyeol's eye, and gave him a thumbs up. He simply nodded at me, a fond smile on his features. Once upon a time, a happily ever after didn't exist for them either. But around the time Junmyeon and I began patching things up, so did they. And I was thankful. Baekhyun meant the absolute world to Junmyeon, and seeing my husband's best friend so happy made me happy too.

"Say hello to Uncle Yixing and Uncle Junmyeon." I turned in the direction of the voice, smiling softly as Ying Yue approached, her daughter wobbling along in front of her. "Yixing, it's good to see you," she greeted me. I rose and met her halfway, embracing her when I got close. "Jingyi wanted to see you. She squealed when we got close."

"She's gotten so big!" I gushed. I crouched down so I was at her height. "Hello precious girl." Baby babble as a response, and Jingyi outstretched her arms, fingers grasping at empty air. "Where's Dingxiang?" I asked, scooping Jingyi into my arms. Ying Yue stifled a sigh.

"He got caught up at work," she said, pursing her lips. I wanted to ask her more about it, but now was not the time. Instead I gave her a squeeze. "He wanted to be here," she added. "He's been dying to see you guys. We didn't get a chance to talk much at our wedding."
