*insert terrible off key singing here* I don't really know what to write about this time!
I'm sure I'll figure it out. Oh. Hey...
...
Yixing's POV
...
"YIXING!" I bolted upright as something jarred me out of my sleep. I looked around, still a bit groggy and slow. "Yixing, Hyeja just called. Get dressed. We have to go." Junmyeon seemed utterly frantic, running around trying to put himself together. I dug my palms into my eyes.
"What time is it Jun?" I asked, watching him run around. He snatched up a backpack kept on my vanity in case... "Oh, OH," I gasped, throwing the covers back. "No way! It's time?"
"It's time," Junmyeon said, looking nervous yet excited at the same time. "God Xing can we do this? Can we? Are we actually doing this?" I chuckled, finally rising out of the bed and grabbing him by the shoulders as he zipped by. He glanced up to me. "Sorry," he apologized. "I'm just...scared."
"Junnie, you are perfectly fine," I told him. "No need to apologize." I planted a kiss on his forehead. "No, I'm not really ready either. But as soon as we get there I know we'll be ready." I wrapped my arms around him now, feeling him sink against me. "Alright, we'd better go," I added. "I'll go get Luhan. You finish up here."
"Alright," he agreed, detaching himself from me and continuing to run around. I pulled on a pair of jeans and a sweater. "Love you." I smiled to myself as I left, hearing him call that over his shoulder. At twenty five it no longer sent the same excited tingle down my spine like it used to, but instead nestled inside me and warmed me. Calmed me. Kept me steady. Junmyeon always had a way of doing that.
"Luhan?" I called, knocking on his door. Shortly after I took over from father, my first act was to get Luhan out of the servants wing and up here with me. Luhan was way more than just my assistant; he was my family. I winced when a tiny cry replied to me. "Shit," I swore softly, swinging the door open. Luhan sat at the edge of the bed, his wife, Yu Yan, crouched behind him. Luhan rocked a tiny bundle in his arms. "Sorry," I apologized, bowing to them as I approached. "I didn't mean to wake Li Jie up."
"You're alright Xing," Luhan assured, kissing the tiny baby's head. His cries had soften as his parents' voices. For a few seconds I stood there, admiring their tiny family. Once Junmyeon and I wed, and we spent time travelling between both countries, Luhan finally took the time to focus on himself. Four years ago he told me he would be getting married. And now they had their son, Li Jie, only four months old. "What brings you here anyway?" Luhan asked.
"Oh yes," I said, finally kicked back into gear. "Hyeja just called Junmyeon. It's time." Luhan's expression lit up. "I want you to come with," I explained. "It's only fitting." Luhan turned to Yu Yan.
"Dear?" he asked in a pleading tone. She smiled fondly, reaching out and taking the tiny bundle from him. Li Jie cooed softly, about making me melt. She leaned over and pecked Luhan's cheek.
"Of course you can go," she replied. Luhan wrapped one arm around her waist and gave her a gentle squeeze. I grinned madly. It felt so good to see Luhan happy too. "Say hi to everyone for me, alright?" This part she said to me, turning her attention my way as Luhan got dressed off to the side. I nodded distractedly. We'd been waiting days for this call. However, now that it was here, I felt...nervous? Scared? Wired? All of the above. But I couldn't wait.
"Let's go." Luhan's voice pulled me back to reality. "We don't have much time now." I nodded. He grabbed his own backpack, already made up, and led the way out of the room. We met up with Junmyeon in the hallway.
