I was putting on my regular red color lipstick as I hurried out of the apartment door to go to class.
Raine and Gemma were in England visiting their family, who all thought that they were both dead.
They were going to be gone for a week and a half so I was going to be staying alone in our apartment for the first time ever.
It was kind of bittersweet. Staying alone can be peaceful, but it also can be boring.
I really did need to have some me time, anyway so it wasn't as bad as it might sound.
As I was jogging to class, I bumped into to someone by accident.
"Sorry!" I said, but I still kept jogging without looking back.
I finally made it to the classroom door and opened it to find that I wasn't even late.
There were only about 5 people in the room and one of them was Louis, who was looking at me like I was wearing a clown suit.
"What the hell happened to you?" He asked me as I sat down in my usual seat beside him.
"I could have swore that I was going to be late." I said pulling out my phone to check the time.
"Darling you're never late, if anything you are thirty minutes early at least." He says rolling his eyes at me.
"Well what are you doing here so early?" I asked him knowing that he usually doesn't come in until the class actually starts.
"Oh you know me, I'm an overachiever who likes to sit in the front of the class and get here before the professor." He says sarcastically.
I laugh at his goofiness, and pull out my book to read until the professor comes in.
My classes went by pretty fast and right after my last class was my shift at The Limestone with Louis.
We had to work even more than we already did, because Gemma wasn't there, so we were both exhausted.
The television was always set on the news in the cafe when people were not performing.
When we finally had a small break, Louis and I turned the volume up, so we wouldn't bore to death in the place that was starting to become my least favorite place to be.
We were making small talk every now and then, but we stopped immediately when a warning came on the TV.
"Citizens of New York! Please stay aware of a man who escaped from jail months ago. He was convicted of kidnappings and possible murders. This refugee goes by the name of Niall Horan And was spotted just last night near Brooklyn. The police are trying their best to catch this runaway. Stay cautious!"
My heart stopped as I sat there and listened to the TV.
After we stole Raine back from him, we had no clue where Niall had gone. We had just finally found our peace with not knowing where he was.
I had never realized how much danger I was actually in.
I looked over at Louis and saw that he had the same expression as me on his face.
"Oh my God." I muttered, feeling dizzy.
"Skyler, I want you to listen to me, you are going to be fine, okay?" He said trying to comfort me, but he didn't know Niall. He had only heard the stories of him that I had told.
My breathing was out of control and I was starting to panic.
I took deep breaths and put my fingers on the sides of my temples, rubbing them in circles.
"Alright. Listen to me Sky, I'm going to take you home where you are safe okay?" He said trying to calm me down.
I nodded my head as he took my hand to help me up.
We got in a cab and ride to my apartment.
The whole way there, all I could think was, "He's looking for me."
When I got to my apartment door, I dug all in my pockets for my key, but couldn't find it.
That's when I started to panic even more.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! Louis my keys I think I must have dropped them somewhere today. What if someone picks them up?"
"It will be okay Sky, they don't know what the keys are even for, you will be just fine."
I looked in the secret plant hiding spot for the extra key and unlocked the door with it.
Louis made sure I was okay before he left, and once he did, I began to get really paranoid and scared.
I was alone, In New York City, while my kidnapper was running around freely.
I ran to my room, closed the door and locked it, and got under my covers.
It was the literal definition of impossible when it came to me going to sleep. There was no way I was going to fall asleep. I was too afraid.
Most of the night I was up reading my book to hide from my fear, but at around 2:30 I'm the morning, I heard a noise come from the apartment door.
My heart stopped.
I quietly closed my book, and grabbed my phone and got the dial ready in case I needed to call 911.
I didn't hear anything else for a few moments, so I suspected that I was just being paranoid.
Then I heard the sound of glass breaking in the kitchen.
My heart was beating faster than I had ever experienced in my whole life.
I looked around for some kind of weapon, but the only thing that I had in my room that would make even the slightest of pain was a book, but it was better than nothing.
I put my ear to my bedroom door to see if I could hear anything else.
I heard footsteps, and my heartbeats got faster every second, if that was even possible.
I finally got brave enough to make the decision to open the door. I took a deep breath and gripped the book hard with my right hand as I slowly twisted the door knob.
I was trying to be as quiet as possible, so maybe I could take Niall by surprise.
I slightly cracked the door hoping to see if I could see him thorough it, but all I could see was pitch black.
I took a deep breath, got the book ready, and opened the door.
I ran toward the shadow of a person that I saw, and immediately hit them with the book right in the head.
"Ow, Ow, ow. Sky stop. It's me. It's okay." A familiar voice said.
He turned around to face me and it definitely was not Niall.
"Harry?"
