I waked onto the bus and looked around me. There was only one vacant seat and of course it was the one next to the guy from school.

So I hesitated as I walked over and sat next to him. I crossed my legs and opened my book and stared to read where I had left off.

I was starting to get into it when I heard a scoff. I looked out of the corner of my eye to see green eyes glaring at my book with a grim face.

"Is there a problem?" I asked after a minute of him just staring at the book with the same grimace on his face.

"Just that you're reading a book in the middle of New York City." He said rolling his eyes.

I ignored him and kept reading. When the bus stopped I got off and started walking down the streets of Brooklyn trying to find a place to shop in.

After about a minute of just walking I sensed someone following me. I looked behind me and saw green eyes walking about 3 feet behind me texting on his phone. I sped up and was almost at a sprint when I ran into someone.

"Oh my God I'm so so sorry. I was in a hurry and.." I stopped mid sentence when I looked up to the person that I had ran into. Like me, he had blue eyes, but his were so much prettier, they were the color of the sky. He put a hand through his messy blonde hair and gave me a side smile showing his white teeth.

"No worries" he said holding out his hand for me to shake. "Hi I'm Niall, Niall Horan." I took his hand and shook it lightly and gave him a smile.

"I'm Skyler."

"Sorry about that it was my fault" he said pointing to my book that had fallen out of my hands. "How about I make up for it, we should go get some coffee." I nodded and followed him.

We went into a coffee shop near by and talked all day. It wasn't until my phone rang that I realized that it was 2:30 pm and I had left the apartment at 8:00. I answered my phone excusing myself from the table.

"Hello?"

"Hey it's Raine where are you?!"

"I'm so sorry. I went out for a little walk and ran into a really cute guy" I whispered into the phone looking over at Niall waving.

"No it's fine I was just worried about you, you've been out all day."

"I know. I'm coming home soon don't worry." I said and hung up the phone. I walked back over to the table where Niall was and sat back down.

"That was my roommate, she was worried about me." I said laughing

"Well you better be going then." he said with a smile. "Here let me give you my number" he then put his number in my phone and I put mine in his. When I got back to the apartment I must have had a smile on my face Because Raine looked at me laughing.

"So what's his name?" She asked cracking up.

"Niall" I said, "you should see him he's so pretty."

"Wait. Niall as in Niall Horan?"

"You know him?" I wrinkled my eyebrows at this.

"Everyone does. He's the campus' biggest frat boy." She then got a serious look on her face. "Look. I know I can't tell you what to do or anything, but I'm warning you, Niall is bad news."

"Oh come on. He's literally the sweetest boy I've ever met." She scoffed and then turned the tv on.

I went in my room and started reading more of my book. I was on the last chapter when there was a knock on the door.

"I got it" Raine yelled from the living room. I stayed in my room and continued to read. I heard her open the door and gasp.

"Harry what are you doing here so early? You said you weren't coming until Friday." I then assumed she was hugging him by the silence that followed. "Come in I'll show you your room." Harry would be staying in the room to the left of mine. "Hey Townes get in here! Harry is here!" I then walked in the living room with my book in my hands.

When I got in there, Raine was the only one there. Harry was putting his bags in his room. "You two are going to get along great!" She said looking excited. "Harry is going to college to be a songwriter I'm surprised you don't have any of the same classes." She said. And as she said this I looked at the tall figure with brown curls coming out of the guest room. His green eyes went wide and he looked at loss for words.

"Oh we do" I said angrily "This" I turned around to look at Raine "is Harry?"

"Yeah" Raine said looking nervous. "Why?"

"This is the guy that rudely ran into me and took my seat." I said through my teeth.

"Oh no." Raine said looking from me to Harry who just stood there smirking. I scoffed and walked into my room slamming the door.

"Perfect. Just perfect." sighed to myself.
