That night, after work Gemma and I went back to the apartment. We had invited Ethan to come over and have a movie night with us.

We were making popcorn and pizza, when we heard him knock on the door.

I walked over and opened the door, but to my surprise it wasn't Ethan, it was Liam.

"Liam!?" I tackled him with a big bear hug and he hugged me back.

"Hey Townes." He said as if he were out of breath.

"What in the world are you doing in New York?" I asked, pulling out of the hug.

"Well granny and I were going to surprise you."

"Oh my God granny is here too?" I asked looking behind him excitedly.

"Oh....well no. She was going to come, but then something can up with Cassandra and she ended up staying back in Carolina." He said rolling his eyes.

"Oh...well that okay." I said a little disappointed. "It's fine you're here, so hey we can still have a good time."

"Sky the popcorn is ready." Gemma said from the kitchen.

"Oh okay I'm coming!" I yelled back. " come with me." I told Liam and he followed me to the kitchen.

We walked in the kitchen and Gemma looked at Liam confused.

"Um hello." She said.

"Oh, Gem this is my brother. Liam this is my roommate Gemma."

"Hello." He said back.

"Have I met you before?" Gemma asked him still with wrinkled eyebrows.

"Maybe, you seen awfully familiar." Liam said.

"Ooooh!" I said as it dawned on me how they probably knew each other. "Gemma is Harry's sister." I said looking at Liam. My heart dropped a little when I said his name out loud.

"Oh that makes more since. I think we have met once or twice faintly. I'm Liam, Harry and I were best friends back in high school." He said. "Wait Townes, I thought you said that your roommate's name was stormy, or summer or something."

"It was Raine." Gemma and I said in unison.

"Liam I told you what happened that day Harry and I went to visit you and grandma. Remember, the shooting." I whispered to him, away from Gemma.

"Oh yeah. I'm sorry I forgot." He said apologetically.

"It's fine."

"Hey speaking of Harry, where is that prick anyway?" He asked to both of us.

Gemma and I got quiet and looked at each other for a few seconds until Gemma broke the silence.

"Um, well you see the thing is..um..."

"Harry and I broke up and I really don't want to speak of him right now....or ever." I chimed in.

"Oh no what happened?" Liam asked but I dodged the question and got the popcorn out of the microwave.

There was another knock on the door and Gemma went to go get it. A few moments later, Ethan walked in the kitchen.

"Alright so what movie are we watching?" He said excitedly. It kind of broke the awkwardness of me not answering Liam's question, so it was perfect for me.

"I don't know you can pick." I said more sweetly than I usually would. I honestly have no idea why it came out so sweet.

"Who's this?" Liam asked from behind me.
