It was now nearing the end of the week which meant that it was Friday. That was a great thing to many people, especially high school students who were constantly being overworked every single day of the week. It was a big relief to everybody who went to Eastwood High because this week was overwhelming since the teachers decided to give them lots of work after their Thanksgiving Break, and not everybody wanted of all that. Not only was it irritating but it could get really stressful—but what else could you expect from school?

Kellen was over at April's house so they could work on their English project. Her parents were actually friends with his parents so he was no stranger to the Dean family, but April and Kellen didn't really associate with each other like that until now.

"Tell me this April, are you single?" Kellen had asked out of the blue as he was searching something on his laptop, not necessarily looking at her. But once he didn't get an answer he turned his head, proceeding to go on forth with it. "You're a pretty girl. I don't think you should be alone, you need nobody."

"This has nothing to do with the project," she mutters underneath her breath, but loud enough so he could hear what she said.

"Have you dated anybody? Or even kissed someone?" Kellen then asks curiously turning to look at her.

"Okay look buddy," she snapped her pen and looked at him with a glare that sent chills down his spine. "What you're talking about is irrelevant to what we're doing right now. So I advise you to stay in your place and stop asking so many damn questions that doesn't relate to us finishing this project, you got it Kellen?"

"Y-Yeah," he stammered, nodding his his vigorously.

"Good," she shot him a fake smile before she went back to writing again.

"I think I just might go. F-Forgot to walk my dog," he stuttered closing his laptop and packing all of his things so he could leave.

April gave him a strange look, but then rolled her eyes because she didn't care, "Just come over tomorrow so we can finish this and have it done. I'll text you when I'm free."

"Sure. Bye April," Kellen still gave her a tight lipped smile and a wave, even after the fact that she had snapped at him—he was an odd boy.

"Mmh," she didn't say goodbye, but she cleaned up so she could put all the stuff away.

April was upstairs in her room, laying flat on her bed and looking up at the ceiling just zoning out. She wondered what in the world was Kellen thinking about when he was asking her those personal questions like that. He even called her pretty which was also odd, but it was nice she thinks? Anyways, it wasn't a big deal but it came off strange to her especially since they didn't know each other like that.

Since it was nearing six o'clock in the evening she decided to take a shower to get cleaned up and so she could relax her mind. This week has been a little stressful lately and all she wanted to do was to relax. Just after she stripped out of her clothes she heard her phone go off. Frowning, she picked up her phone to see that she a text message from her bestfriend Venus.
