April's heart plummeted to the ground the moment she realized that Venus must have ran away. It was dark and god knows what she's feeling right now. April looked back at the commotion which was her parents yelling at the Olsson family while her little sister was crying at everything that was happening before her eyes. Kellen's forehead was bleeding a lot, but she didn't care because he deserved it. April decided to go find Venus before anything bad happens. She slid on her shoes, grabbed her hoodie, and left.

It's been a long time since April has felt this way; and that was fear. She knew that talking about Venus's family was a very sensitive topic to speak upon. What didn't make sense is why Kellen would bring that up in the first place. Kellen didn't know a single thing about her—well that's what April and her parent's thought. In all honesty, there was some things that were kept secret and it's only a matter of time before the truth comes out. But the only thing that is important right now to April is to find her bestfriend.

"C'mon pickup, pickup, pickup," April looked around frantically with her phone up against her ear, hoping that Venus would pickup but it went to voicemail. She then dialed her number again to call her, but it went straight to voicemail once more.

April walked down the block to Venus's house, wondering if she had ran back home or something. She quickly put more speed in her step, and next thing you know she was in front of the Wratherbee's house knocking on their front door.

"A minute please!" Shouted a woman's voice that was laced with tiredness.

"It's April! Please open up, it's important!" April yelled banging on the door.

Only seconds later the door slightly opened to reveal Mrs. Wratherbee who looked fatigued and beyond confused to see her daughter's bestfriend in front of the door. She frowned softly, "Why are you here? It's late April."

"Is Venus here?" The teenage girl rushed out .

The mother shook her head, "No, I thought she went to your house to spend the night."

"She ran away," April told her. "I didn't even know until my little sister told me."

"She..she ran away?" Mrs. Wratherbee was confused by all means. The last thing she expected is to find out that Venus ran away from the Dean's house, it just didn't make any sense.

"Yes, and I was wondering if she came back home," April says flickering her eyes inside the house, catching a glimpse of Venus's father sitting on the couch with a cigarette between his lips. But then she got a feeling that maybe Venus wasn't here.

"No, I'm sorry she didn't come by," Mrs. Wratherbee says to the teenager with a sad smile.

"Do you know where she could be or something? Like anything? She's not answering her p-phone and I'm getting so scared," April croaked, her eyes closing briefly as she felt the tears falling down her cheeks. She felt as if she couldn't breathe, as if her lungs were collapsing and the only thing that would save her is to have Venus in her arms. She was desperate, and she just needed help before she drove herself insane.

"Honey calm down, okay? You need to breathe," Mrs. Wratherbee tells her in a soothing tone.

"I'm trying," April sobbed. "I'm trying to be a good friend. I-I don't want her to be all alone out there in the dark with no one with her."
