"Have you girls planned on settling down with someone?" Mr. Wratherbee asked the two younger women at the table. Venus's dad finally got himself together with his drinking and anger problem, he looked better than ever and started people with kindness. He got help for the sake of his daughter and for the sake of his own health since he was heading down a very dangerous path, and since her mother walked out of their lives he knew that he had to get himself together for good. Mr. Wratherbee has been sober for four years and he has been back in Venus's life again, and earned her forgiveness as well.

But meanwhile, the table went quiet as Venus and April sent each other knowing looks before April decided to speak up on the subject.

"We have thought about it Mr. Wratherbee," April answered and that caused her to get elbowed underneath the table by Venus.

"Really? With who?" Mr. Dean asked with a serious yet confused look on his face.

As you can see, April and Venus hasn't came out to their families yet. It has been four years since they first started dating and they haven't said a word about their sexuality or the fact that they're in love.

"Aw, I wanna know!" Whined April's mother excitedly. "What if you found your soulmate? Ah! That would be just wonderful."

"Haha..that's funny you would say that mom," April laughed sarcastically with a fake smile on her face.

Her mother frowned, "Um..why would it be funny?"

"We might as well just tell them since you wanted to be smart," Venus whispered in April's ear with a nudge of her elbow.

"You know I'm very sarcastic my lil venus fly trap," April smirks. "But if you wanna tell 'em then we can."

"Tell us what?" Mr. Wratherbee asked them curiously.

They gave each other a look before they looked at their families, bracing for the worse or the best.

"Mom..dad..Sheema," April said her family members names slowly before she finally confessed something she has been holding back for years now. "I wanna tell you guys that I'm gay."

"And dad," Venus directed her attention back to her father, giving him a soft smile. "I'm gay too."

The table was absolutely quiet after that was put out there. It wasn't exactly what they were expecting, but April took the lead of explaining this confession more in depth.

"I've..been liking girls since the sixth grade," April tells them. "I never said anything because I didn't know how you guys were going to take it, so I stayed quiet about it. And if you haven't already figured it out yet, Venus and I are together," she grabbed Venus's hand from the the table to show everybody their laced fingers and the contrast that their skins had from each other, but it was still love. "Four years going strong."

"I-Is this really true?" Mr. Wratherbee asked, he was shocked

"Yeah," Venus nodded. "I never knew that the love of my life would be someone so close to me. April is my everything and I am so glad to call her my fiancé."

"Fiancé?" Everybody at the table repeated in a questioning tone.

Venus giggled and so did April at their reaction. The moment April switched her engagement ring from her right hand to her left hand she showed everybody the diamond stubbed ring that wasn't only just a symbol of their love, but also symbol of their commitment and promises.

"Can I be the flower girl at the wedding?" Sheema begged with her bottom lip poking out. "Please sissy?"

"Of course you can be," April smiles.

"Yay!" The girl cheered before she went back at eating again, and it was clear that she didn't mind.

April gulped, and looked back at her parents,"Are you guys okay with this?"

"Why wouldn't we be?" April's mother sniffed, wiping the tears from her wet face and giving the two a soft smile. "I'm so happy for you guys. Ug, why didn't I see this coming? Anyways, I'm completely fine with it sweetie."

"Dad?" April called out wanting his confirmation as well.

"You don't I don't like getting sentimental at the table," Mr. Dean says with a shake of his head and the cross of his arms.

"Oh c'mon you big baby!" April whined. "Say what's on you're mind."

Mr. Dean rolled his eyes, but started to get teary eyed the more and more it started to hit him. He was crying but he still managed to say, "I'm..I'm also happy for you girls. Do whatever that keeps a smile on your faces."

"Thanks dad," April smiles. "I feel much better now."

"E-Excuse me," Venus's dad got from his chair and left the table quickly.

Venus stood up to go after him. The man stood outside the house, sniffing and murmuring some things underneath his breath.

"Dad what's wrong?" Venus asks worriedly, walking over to him to see that he was actually crying, and that made her really worried. "I-Is everything okay?"

"Y-Yes my little one. Everything is okay," her dad assures wiping his face with the back of his hand.

"Then why are you crying?" She asks softly reaching out to hold his hand.

"I'm just overwhelmed with joy dear. You deserve love after all you have been through with me and your mother treating you horribly. I didn't have the greatest experience with love. But now that you got the chance I want you to take it and never let it go," he spoke kissing her knuckles soothingly.

"Thank you dad," Venus wrapped her father into a tight hug, soon kissing his cheek in appreciation.

"You and April belong together," he says to her with a smile before he pulled away and walked back into the house.

April came from outside the house and walked down the steps with a dramatic huff, "Wow..that was a bit easier than I thought."

"Right," Venus chuckled running her hand through her hair with a dramatic huff of her own.

"You know I love you, right?" April says with a sheepish smile on her face, going over to her fiancé to pull their bodies close.

"And you know that I love you too, right?" Venus grinned looping her arms around April's neck to pull them ever closer.

"Call it even," April giggled before she placed a kiss onto her lips, pulling away with a happy look on her face. "Everything is gonna be just fine between me and you."
