5 : parking lot
••••••••••

The bell had rung which indicated that school was now over. Kids flooded the hallways, racing to get out of this hellhole called a school. All day, Venus had purposefully ignored April because she was upset and felt that maybe Kellen could replace her. Ever since Saturday that's all she could think about. His harsh words replayed in her mind over and over again.

She didn't know that Kellen was close to April than he seemed to be. Yeah, her parents knew April's parents but this was a different situation because Kellen was a boy that obviously wanted to get with April. That's how it worked. It started with the boy and the girl. Since their parents were already involved with each other that only led for them to get involved with each other too. And that made Venus worried if that would come true.

"Are you still not talking to me?" April asked walking up next Venus, eyes searching for hers but they did not meet.

"I have to go home. Bye April," Venus didn't even look at her. Instead she walked faster so she could get away.

But April wasn't letting her get away that easily, "C'mon now, you can't do this to me," she groans taking ahold of Venus's wrist to stop her for a moment.

"I can too," Venus pulled her wrist back and walked out the school building.

"I wasn't trying to keep it a secret Venus. I was going to tell you," April still followed after the girl who would not stop walking away.

Venus scoffed, "When? After Kellen becomes your new bestfriend?"

"Okay, you're just overreacting sis," April muttered to herself quietly, but Venus had herd it.

"If you think that maybe I should stop talking to you then," Venus suggested before she made her way into the school's parking lot, wanting to find her car and just leave.

"Venus, no, just wait and hear me out," April pleaded and jogged in front of Venus so she could stop walking away from her. She sighed. "Look..our parents has been colleagues for years which mean that yes, I have known him for a long time and I thought this wouldn't bother you. But since it does I want you to know that I don't see myself becoming friends him, and that he isn't going to get in between of what we have, okay?"

Venus adjusted her backpack on her shoulders nervously, "You really mean that?"

"From the bottom of my heart my lil venus fly trap," April tells her sincerely before being her friend into a hug. "You know I love you, right?"

"Yeah," Venus blushed shamelessly. The way she said it caused butterflies to swarm in her stomach even though she shouldn't be feeling that way. "I love you too."

And the moment was ruined when they heard a loud sound of a car's horn honking, then a shouting girl who was in the driver's seat, "Get out the way fucking way! Are you gonna just stand there or move?!"

April had pulled away from Venus and shouted back, "Do you not see all this room for you to drive pass us? I think you're being overdramatic for no reason."

"Listen Dean, I advise you to move out the way before I run you both over," gritted the one and only Diana Davina. A girl who thought she ran the school, was the captain of the cheer squad, mad rich, had devious ways, and just was an overall bitch twenty-four seven.

April scoffed, "Who the fuck do you think you are?"

"A queen," she cockily smiled as she flipped her hair over her shoulder, then giving them both glares. "Now move."

"I swear to god that I'll fuck you up," April muttered underneath her breath as she took a couple steps forward towards the brunette, ready to put this brat in her place.

"April no, stop," Venus grabbed April's arm and pulled her back into her chest, whispering. "She isn't worth it."

"Fuck you bitch," April spat as she felt herself being walked backwards.

"C'mon April," Venus sighed pulling her away. She knew that April hated Diana's guts, and that's why she had to keep her little firecracker from popping off.

"That's right! Move along bugs!" Diana laughs before she got in her car, driving off with her middle finger up to them.

April snatched herself away from Venus and stormed to her car so she could get out as quickly as she could. But Venus caught up to her before did something dangerous.

"You need to calm down April," Venus demanded.

"Just leave me alone," April mumbled underneath her breath as she squeezed her way through all these cars until she got to her black Nissan Altima.

"Stop pushing me away," Venus groans.

"Wow, what a hypocrite," April sarcastically remarks as she unlocked her driver's door to throw her backpack in the passenger seat.

"I'm being serious April," Venus stated with the cross of her arms.

April turned to her with a displeased face as she crossed her own arms, "Why did you pull me away? I could have finally caught my fade with that bitch. She stepped out of the car and everything!"

" I didn't want you to stoop to her level because I said she isn't worth it," Venus tells her with a firm tone.

April simply rolled her eyes, "I'm going home."

Venus scoffed, "Not until you calm down," and with a pull of her arm she pulled April into a big hug.

"Let go of me," April muttered, stubbornly not hugging her back.

"You were just hugging me a few minutes ago and that made me feel better. And now it's your turn," Venus snuggled her face into the crook of her neck and just held her.

"Okay fine. I'm better now," April grunted trying to pull away but it didn't necessarily work.

"Not until you relax," Venus sung.

April sighed and decided to wrap her arms around Venus to hug her back, sighing deeply as she felt her body and her mind actually calm down. And with a few minutes of hugging April started to feel that fire die out as each second passed by.

"Are you better now?" Venus had asked curiously.

"Yes," April murmurs out truthfully.

"Good," Venus pulled away and took April's hands in hers, bringing it up to her lips to softly kiss on her knuckles. "Don't stress sweet pea, you got me, remember?"

"I sure do," April smiled.
