This wasn't the first time that Venus had to stay at April's house when her parents didn't want her around. Mrs. Dean and Mr. Dean understood the issues that Venus goes through back at her house, and they didn't mind welcoming her in their home with open arms. Venus had like half of her stuff over here anyway because she was at the Dean's residence often. April even made room so Venus could have some room in her closet and her bedroom. Knowing the troubles Venus goes through this was just an easier solution.

"Can you hand me my angle brush? I left it in the bathroom," Venus extended her neck from around the bathroom doorway, waiting to get her angle brush from April who was in the bathroom applying lip gloss on her lips.

"Just one moment please," April dragged the applicator across her lips, loving the way the clear glossy substance made her lips shine.

"April," Venus groans stomping her foot.

April grabbed the angle brush and handed to Venus with a annoyed huff, "Here."

"Thanks," Venus beamed before she went back to the mirror that was on the wall to do some finishing touches on her eyebrows. "You know that people are gonna ask what happened to Kellen, right?"

"Yeah, and I'll tell 'em that he's a bitch," April stated as she looked at herself in the mirror.

Venus leaned over to peek in the bathroom again with a loopy smile on her face, "You're the best, you know that?"

"Yeah, I know," April replied back flipping her hair over her shoulder arrogantly.

"And I just love your cocky attitude as well," Venus went on as she walked into the bathroom, going towards April just to stand close by her. "It's really appealing even though it's also really annoying at the same time."

"It's comes with the whole package," April grins, putting both hands on Venus's hips to pull their bodies closer together.

Venus bit her bottom lip, "You are the whole package," she flirted, looping her arms around April's shoulders.

"I'm flattered," April smiles.

As a fire ignited in Venus's body she couldn't help but to lean forward and kiss April. This was the first time she has ever made the first move, and she really liked the trill of it too. It felt like heaven on earth just being in April's presence. And she never wanted this feeling to end.

"O-Oh," April had stammered out once she pulled away, blinking slowly as her tongue swiped over her bottom lip.

"Did I do a good job?" Venus asks with frantic eyes, worried that she might have not done so well. This was her first time going in and actually kissing a girl—and this wasn't just any ole girl, but this was her bestfriend. It wasn't like she was ashamed of it but she didn't want to make a fool out of herself either.

"Yeah I..I liked it," April breathed out, her lips forming a soft smile to ease Venus's nerves.

"Okay," the light fawn toned girl pulled away and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear shyly.
