••••••••••"I don't understand why my phone got taken away while everybody else was on theirs," Venus huffed out as she adjusted her purse on her shoulder and closed her locker harshly. "I wasn't even on it."
"That's surprising," April mutters walking next to her, typing away on her phone.
"My ringer was on and I actually got a text message from you saying that you were going to ditch me today," Venus purposefully emphasized.
"I'm not ditchin' you, so don't be dramatic. I have to work on a project with Kellen," April tells her as they walked out of the school's doors and into the parking lot.
"Do y'all have to do that today?" Venus asks, hoping that April could like reschedule or something.
"Yes today," April responded.
"But why?" Venus groaned dragging her feet and slumping over as she threw a mini tantrum.
"Because," April mocked her whiny voice. "It's due next week and we have to get it done now. You know I don't like to procrastinate."
"We were suppose to hang out today," Venus complained, soon stopping at her silver colored Toyota Camry to throw her purse in the backseat.
"We can do it another time when I'm not busy," April got her own purse out the trunk of the car and closed it. "We hang out all the time, like literally."
"That is so unfair!" Venus huffed as she crossed her arms. She was feeling some type of way about this project April and Kellen were working on. Venus didn't know if she was overreacting or not. But she was a little amped up about this.
April rolled her eyes, adjusting her purse on her shoulder, "I don't know why you're screamin' if you're standing next to me."
"Okay..what is up with you?" Venus snapped, frowning and becoming agitated by this poor attitude April had.
"What are you talking about?" The brown skinned girl also frowned and crossed her arms—pretending like she didn't know why Venus was upset, but she knew well enough why this girl was tripping.
"You've been very sarcastic as usual, you haven't been engaging into any of the conversations I've been having with you, and you simply act like you don't give a damn about me anymore," Venus spat.
"You know that's not true," April groaned walking up to the girl and putting her hands on her shoulders. "I do care about you, so don't say that."
"I don't know if you're tired of me or somethin' but you might as well tell me now so I won't have to keep on bugging you," Venus stated tiredly.
April sighed deeply, rubbing her forehead as she thought about what she was going to say next. She had been acting a bit off and she personally knew that. But she didn't want to say anything because that would stress Venus out even more, so she stayed quiet.
And next thing you know Kellen walked over with a nice smile on his face, "Hey April, you ready to go?"
April took her hands away from Venus's shoulders, giving her a look before she turned to Kellen with a simple nod, "Yeah, let's go."
"Oh hi Venus, I didn't see you there," Kellen says clearing his throat, not really looking at her but more at her cleavage that was poking out of the top she was wearing.
"Don't fuckin' talk to me you pig," Venus spat before she got into her car, slamming the door, and then driving off.
"Damn, what's her problem?" Kellen chuckles rubbing the back of his neck.
"She doesn't have a problem. So just mind your business's and let's go," April mumbles.
