After getting a lecture from Gheorgie, Luna was sent to have a bath and get ready for her coronation while Asher was sent to help set everything up.

Melody, a mermaid and Luna's best female friend, was also angry because she had been stuck in the castle finishing Luna's gown for that night.

Before she left, Melody ended up forgiving Luna because it was hard for Melody to be upset with anyone for a long period of time, it was just the way she was wired.

Melody is a petite woman with a proportionate body, most mer folk were extremely proportionate.

Her skin is a light shade of blue and her hair is green and always seemed to be in the perfect set of curls that anyone has ever seen. The woman's eyes are another story, they're yellow and had scared Luna for a few months before she had gotten used to them.

A knock sounds at Luna's bedroom door causing her to tighten the robe that was wrapped around her before making her way to said door.

"This is for you, my lady."

Asher was standing in front of her, looking dapper in a suit that was made perfectly for him, holding a small pouch by the strings so that it was dangling in the air.

When the smell of cinnamon sneaks into Luna's body she unconsciously relaxes.

"You're the best!" She shouts, making sure to hug Asher before grabbing the pouch.

"He glances to the left, checking the stairs, and then looks back at Luna.

"I need to go before Gheorgie castrates me." He laughs and then winces, his right hand adjusting the front of his pants.

"He still thinks you like me?" Luna asks, cocking her head to the side as she leans against her door.

"Yeah, he gave me another lecture after you left." Asher tells her, taking another glance at the stairs.

"When are you going to tell him?" Luna wonders softly.

"I don't want him to hate me, Luna." Asher whispers, looking down at his feet as he shuffles them, a nervous habit of his.

"Gheorgie could never hate you! He cares about you, Asher, I'm sure this wouldn't change his views." Luna says as she pulls her best friend in for another hug.

"I just don't want to ruin what we have." Asher tells her, backing up and peeking at the stairs once more.

"It won't ruin anything, I promise."

"I hope so." He mumbles to himself.

Waving at Luna, he makes his way back down the hallway and then down the stairs.

Luna sighs and shakes her head as she closes her door, holding the cinnamon candy pouch close to her chest, a wide smile on her face.

"Boys can be so weird, sometimes." She whispers to herself before placing a small piece of the candy into her mouth.

She lets out a small moan as her eyes slip closed, the cinnamon scent much stronger than before.

"I agree." Shadow says, making his presence known, hiding his scent again after getting side tracked by Luna's appearance.

Luna's eyes pop open and she cries out, accidently sucking the candy into her throat, causing her to choke.

Shadow rolls his eyes, thinking that she was pretending.

When Luna's face begins to turn a shade of blue he rushes forwards and turns her body around, placing his directly behind hers, and then he squeezes, using his hand to catch the piece of candy as it shoots out of Luna's throat.

Luna begins to cough, her throat burning, as Shadow moves back to his original spot, uncomfortable being that close to her.

She turns around just in time to see him place the candy into his mouth, making her face scrunch up.

"You're welcome by the way." He tells Luna, waiting for her to do or say something.

They just stare at one another, Luna thinking of an escape plan and Shadow wondering what she was doing just standing there.

"I'm a pretty slow runner so you should give me a head start." Luna speaks as she glances towards the balcony door.

"Why would I do that?" He asks, readying himself to catch the chunky girl before she threw herself off of the balcony.

"Because you're a very nice man." She states, inching towards the balcony door.

Cutting Shadow off from responding, Luna takes a step towards the balcony, causing Shadow to turn away from her and lunge towards it, getting there in no time at all.

"Stupid girl." He shakes his head but then frowns when he turns to see that the bedroom door was wide open and that Luna had disappeared.

Anger slams into him, making the beast that lived inside of him push to get loose and hunt down the girl who had outsmarted him.

He breathes, trying to calm himself down, before stalking out of her bedroom and down the hallway, glad that no one had walked up the stairs.

He follows Luna's vanilla scent, and the loud banging on one of the doors, down the other side of the hallway.

He could sense the fear rolling off of her in waves as she began begging someone to open a door.

Luna was completely upset with herself and her leg, if it worked properly she could have already made her way down the long staircase.

"That wasn't very nice of you." Shadow growls, scaring Luna.

She turns around and slides down Asher's door, tears cascading down her face.

"Stupid man." She cries, rubbing at her face, willing the tears to go away.

"The werelion is downstairs." He tells her, taking a few steps forwards, listening to the people who were walking around the stairs.

"I noticed." She hisses, a glare taking over her face.

"You made him angry." He states.

"Who?" Luna asks, taking a glance around the hallway. Wondering if the man was crazy someone else because she couldn't find anyone.

"The beast." He snarls, lunging towards her, catching Luna off guard.

Before she's able to scream Shadow touches a certain spot behind her ear and she passes out, sinking into his arms.
