The Castle Under The Moon

Chapter Thirty-Seven

"I, Luna, The Goddess of the Moon, crown you, Shadow, to be the Alpha of the Lycans." Shadow was on one knee in front of Luna, his head bowed.

In Luna's hands was a simple golden crown that was littered with colorless stones.

Everyone holds their breaths as Luna places the crown onto Shadow's head, gasps soon appearing when the stones turn the same bright blue as the necklace that lay on Luna's chest.

"Stand." Luna commands, ready to see her mates face, wanting to see how he was feeling.

"Perfect." She mumbles, the word slipping past her lips before she is able to stop it from doing so.

"Stunning." Shadow says back, his eyes checking out Luna's body, the action making her face heat up.

"Kiss!" Asher chants, cupping his hands around his mouth.

Luna's face reddens even further when almost everyone else in the throne room joins in with the lion.

"Fuck it." Shadow huffs, not really concerned about them having an audience. He places both of his hands on Luna's face, tilting it upwards so that he has easier access to her soft lips. Bending down, Shadow places his mouth onto hers, the both of them let out a moan as soon as they connect.

The crowd cheers, their joyous laughter and shrill screams filling the room as the two of them seperate once again, both breathing hard with very large smiles on their faces.

"We still need to crown Asher." Valda murmurs, unable to force her own grin into hiding.

"Yes! Asher, please come up here so I can officially give you your title." Luna turns and speaks to her best friend who looked as if he had completely forgotten that he was to go next.

He walks to her on shaky legs, Barrett having to push him forwards. Once he makes it he gets onto one knee, bowing his head.

"I, Luna, The Goddess of the Moon, crown you, Asher, to be my first in command."

Since the first in command was usually also the Alpha, the two titles usually shared the crown that Shadow is currently wearing but Valda had used some of her magic to create a ring, the gold holding a small, colorless gem, only turning blue once landing on Asher's finger as he gained his title.

"Let's get this party started!" Asher yells after hugging his best friend and Shadow, his mouth stretched wide as he addresses the people in the room who all cheer in agreement with his statement.

"We will be moving to the ballroom! Luna and Shadow will leave first, followed by Asher and I, then you all can follow!" Valda places her hands on Shadow and Luna's backs, pushing them a small bit so that they start to move down the stairs.

As soon as Luna and Shadow's butts hit the seats at the front of the ballroom their people flood into the room, many different creatures filling the space before them, all of them smiling and giddy as music starts playing.

"Melody did very well on your dress." Shadow smiles as his eyes rake over Luna's body for the nth time that night.

Her floor length, deep blue, satin dress hugged her body but also looked as if it was liquid and painted on at the same time. Black lace covered her neck and the length of her arms while the hem of her dress glittered and twinkled like the stars.

"I must agree with you." She blushes as she watches a tiny light move across the bottom of her dress.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but there is a line of people that want to speak with you, Luna." Valda's smile only grows when she sees Luna's red face.
