"Nothing?!" Valda exclaims as she pins some of Luna's hair up.
"Nope!" Melody shakes her head, her facial expression is one of utter disappointment.
"How?! He can't keep his hands off of you?!" Valda's shocked face sends both Luna and Melody into fits of giggles.
"Trust me, I know." Luna sighs, after she stops laughing, busying her hands playing with the skirt of her dress.
Valda and Melody's eyes meet, the both of them sharing a similar giddy smile and sparkling eyes.
"Tonight?" Valda wonders casually, her voice higher than usual as she pins another short lock of Luna's hair up.
Luna's eyes meet Valda's in the mirror, a wide grin in-between her bright red cheeks.
All three of them burst into excited giggles once again, though this time they are unable to stop, even when a knock sounded on Luna's bedroom door.
Asher's eyebrows raise when a still wheezing Melody answers the door.
"Do I want to know?"
"Nope." She chuckles, her own cheeks tinted slight pink as she grins.
"You look beautiful." Asher nods towards her tight coral colored dress. The bodice is sparkling and shimmering as she moves, hugging her curves while the bottom flared out, looking very much like her tail.
"Why thank you, kind sir." Melody curtsies, her wavy long green hair flowing over her shoulders.
"I'm guessing you're here to boot us out?" Valda pouts as she flips her long, straight black hair behind her shoulder.
"Sadly yes, I was told to escort Luna because Gabriel needed to talk to Shadow before we start, they should be meeting us down there."
"Alright, see you later, honey." Valda says as she and Melody hug Luna before leaving with a wave.
Valda's pitch black dress is loose and hid nothing about her figure as it hung to the ground, looking as if it was made from silk.
"I must be honest with you and say that I am scared." Luna whispers to her best friend, her hands shaking.
"Luna," Asher sighs and walks forwards after shutting her bedroom door, taking both of her hands within his. "Everyone that is here is ready for you to finally be crowned and take over your role as our goddess. You have so many people who believe in you."
Blubbering, Luna pulls her best friend into a hug, her nerves ebbing a little knowing he and Shadow would be standing up there with her, taking their roles.
"Are you going to tell him tonight?" Luna wonders as she wipes under her eyes.
Asher sighs as he moves away from Luna, a hesitant look on his handsome face.
"Yes. I can't and don't have to hide this from anyone anymore. I am ready to begin living." Some of the weight visibly disappears from his shoulders as he spoke out loud what he had been saying to himself.
"And Barrett?" Luna tilts her head, a knowing smile on her face."
"You truly believe that he is my mate?"
"I know so, while Valda was teaching me how to pair two souls together and how to know when to do so, I got a peak at yours."
Asher's face lights up, he felt as if he was the luckiest man in the world hearing the confirmation from her.
"What about the man before me?" He asks, his smile disappearing when he remembered that Barrett had had a mate before him.
"Ah, Valda said that in some cases some souls are gifted a second chance mate, it's when the first pair is doomed from the beginning." Luna pats him on the shoulder, hoping that it calmed him some to know that Barrett's first mate was never meant to be his only or really his main one.
