Chapter Thirty-Five

"So he didn't ravish you?" Melody frowns, not liking the fact that she wasn't going to get the details that she thought she was.

Luna rolls her eyes but can't stop the blush that begins to fill her cheeks or the smile that seems to show up every time she hears the giant man's name.

"Well, when it happens I better be told every. Little. Detail!" She giggles, pinching her pointer finger and thumb together, almost touching, letting Luna know how small.

"Not every detail." Luna chuckles, placing both of her hands on either side of her warm face, hoping for the redness to go away.

"Every. Detail." Melody makes sure to enunciate every word so that when she came back for said details, Luna couldn't tell her that she hadn't heard her.

Luna just sighs and stands up, stretching her legs and arms.

"I have some news!" Gabriel bursts into the kitchen, a wide grin on his face as he comes to a stop in front of Luna.

"Well?!" Both Luna and Melody egg him on, looking nervous as they watch him.

"Grover, Owen, and Brock decided to drop out of the running, all of them saying that they would rather follow Shadow as Alpha."

Luna's eyes widen as she shakes her head, trying to force the fact that Shadow was going to take over Gheorgie's place as Alpha to settle.

"Does he know?" melody wonders, bringing the other two's attention to the green haired woman who was still sitting at the kitchen table.

"I notified him before coming to tell you. He said that he wanted to talk to the men before accepting the title." Gabriel had figured that Shadow was going to get the role, knowing full well that he was the best out of them all and with the help of three of the best Lycans (Brock, Owen, Grover) backing him up it seemed that it was going to go over alright.

"So noble." Melody chuckles, her voice sounding more like a song.

"This means that we can get moving with your coronation, Luna." Gabriel nods, not wanting to further push the event away, their people needed her.

'"Yes! Luna, you need to try the dress on again so that I can make sure that everything still fits!" Melody stands, her excitement bubbling out of her, causing Luna to feel some.

"How will Shadow be accepted?" Luna turns to face Gabriel again.

"Well, I was thinking that we could have your coronation and his acceptance all rolled into one night. The men are going to need some time to get used to the fact that he will be leading them from now on and it will take a while to send out letters to everyone for your coronation." Gabriel knew that the men accepting Shadow was going to be the hard part.

"Alright, do you have a set date in mind?" Luna wonders as she places her hands on her hips, the whole thing still having trouble sinking in.

"I was thinking two weeks should be more than enough time for not only us to prepare for the night but for everyone else to make sure that they get here in time." He nods, agreeing with his own plan.

"I'm nervous." Luna whispers as she rubs her stomach, it was as if something had been let loose to roam inside of it.

"Don't worry, dear, we will teach you everything that you need to know and should have been already taught. " Gabriel gives her a small smile, knowing exactly why she was nervous before pulling her into a hug.

"And you will not be alone. You have everyone around you, supporting you." Melody wraps her arms around Luna from the back so that she was squished between the two of them.

"And I love every single one of you guys." Luna sniffles, happy that she had the people she did surrounding her. She couldn't ask for a better team.

"Oooo, group hug!" Asher shouts, wrapping his long arms around Gabriel and Melody.

Everyone laughs, joy settling inside of them, digging a hole and calling it home.

"Join us Barrett! You are part of this family too!" Luna has to yell out so that she could be heard by the elf.

Barrett looks at Asher and when the lion nods, Barrett joins in, feeling loved and accepted for the first in a very long time, so much so that he begins to cry.

Before they are able to disband, Owen, Brock, Grover, and Shadow find their way into the kitchen.

Shadow growls, causing everyone in the room to roll their eyes, very aware that he wouldn't do anything.

"Can I get in on the action?" Grover laughs, bouncing on his feet like a child.

"Of course!" Asher and Melody say at the same time, only making the smile on the redhead's face grow as he shoots forwards, waving the men behind him to follow as he wraps his arms around Gabriel and Asher.

Owen chuckles while Brock rolls his eyes, the both of them looking at the other before joining in on the massive hug fest.

"C'mon, Shadow, you know you want to." Barrett says in a sing song voice when he notices the uncomfortable looking Shadow analyzing the group of people.

After a few seconds of thinking about it, Shadow let out a grunt before stepping forwards, wrapping his arms around Grover and Owen.

"What is this?!" Valda laughs out, causing the group to break up, almost all of them chuckling.

Shadow reaches out and wraps his arm around Luna's waist before she is able to move too far, pulling her back to his front so that he could rest his head on hers, feeling at peace that he finally had her to himself.

"Luna was feeling a little nervous about her upcoming coronation so we decided to give her a hug." Melody explains while still smiling.

"There Is no need to be nervous, Little Bear." Shadow whispers in Luna's ear as the others talk amongst themselves, sending tingles down her spine.

With Shadow standing so close her body, her mind felt more calm, his large body making her feel safe.

"How far away is this coronation?" Valda speaks up, her lips forming a straight line while her mind was running, thinking about all of the preparations that needed to be done.

"Two weeks time!" Gabriel smiles sheepishly, hoping that Valda gave him a bit of mercy and not hit him, or worse, zapped him halfway inside of a wall like she had done before.

"Of course you wouldn't give me enough time!" She shouts, slapping her thighs with her palms.

"We will also be making Shadow Luna's Alpha and Asher her first in command, too." Melody informs Valda who was literally steaming from her ears as her eyes zone in on Gabriel.

"This is our family, Shadow." Luna mumbles, a little smile on her face as she watches everyone.

Valda was yelling at Gabriel while Asher, Melody, and Barrett were talking about what they were going to wear. Grover, Owen, and Brock were all laughing at Gabriel who was rolling his eyes at something that Vlada had said.

"It seems to have already grown on me." Shadow sighs, tightening his hold on Luna while his grin only grows broader.

"Good." She whispers, her entire being filled with love for the people that she was surrounded by.
