Canvas

If the moon was a canvas

That glowed in the sky

What would you paint?

What would you want that high?

A canvas like the moon

So majestic and vast

Would be a message to the universe

One to elicit a gasp

Strokes of red, yellow, blue

Paint something timeless

Simple everlasting, and undying art

Of beauty to leave the soul breathless

And if it truly was possible

To paint the whole moon

Would you do it if you could?

Oh, would you let art consume?
