Jealousy

A/N: I made Deidara a member of Konohagakure's Namikaze clan. He's gonna be Minato's nephew.

Ichiki sighed, bringing the cool drink to her parched mouth and taking a delicate sip. Beside her sat Sakura Haruno, across from the women were their boyfriends. Rock Lee had proposed to the pinkette and she had accepted, which did not sit well with the Kuran. She had been dating the Uchiha for a year longer than her bestie had been with the martial artist, and that left a bitter taste in her mouth that not even her chocolate milkshake could hide.

"So, when is the wedding?" Ichiki hid her disdain.

She was quite happy for her friends, don't get her wrong, but she was also very jealous. Very, very jealous.

"We haven't set a date yet, but it'll definitely be in the summer. We're thinking maybe an outside ceremony?" Sakura gushed.

Ichiki almost let out a sigh of relief, as it was only spring. Sasuke could still propose to her and they could marry before the couple that they had accompanied. Her light blue eyes watched the deredere and himedere, her heated gaze now lukewarm. The tsundere sitting next to the deredere shot a look at the kuudere, his obsidian eyes narrowing as a tiny hint of pink dusted his alabaster cheeks.

Should he tell her now, or keep it a secret just awhile longer?

"Ichiki-kōhai, what do you think?" Sakura quizzed.

"Oh, well, my opinion doesn't really matter. It's your big day, Sakura-San. Rock-san's opinion would be more valid than mine -- he's the groom."

Sasuke had to admit, his girlfriend was adorable on the rare occasion that she got flustered. He was learning ways to make it happen more often, but was grateful for what he could get... for now.

"I think that that's the most she's ever spoken," Sasuke teases.

Ichiki glared at her beau, not hiding a hint of malice.

"Anyway, it's completely up to you two. I-" Ichiki's cellular interrupted her.

Glancing down apologetically, Ichiki flipped open her phone to reveal a text from her younger sister. Naoki was always Ichiki's highest priority, so her company knew immediately who it was when she begun to type a reply. Ordinarily, she'd be slow. However, for Naoki, she was swift.

"I have to leave."

"I'm her ride," Sasuke shrugged.

From the way that Sakura Haruno was now next to Rock Lee, stroking his hand, it didn't seem that the newly engaged couple had any problems with being left alone. Once the ravens departed, the colourful couple shared a laugh before kissing one another passionately.

Sasuke started his car and awaited as Ichiki buckled her seatbelt, giving him a thumbs up and a blank expression once she was done. Chuckling, the Uchiha adjusted his mirrors and eyed them before carefully backing out of the parking space.

"Where to, Ichi Ichi?"

He knew how much she hated that nickname, and that only Hinata was allowed her to address her as such.

"The local hospital."

"What happened?"

"Her water broke."

Neither of them were very talkative, but straight to the point when it came to verbal exchanges. It matched their shared neutral expressions and monotonous voices.

Come to think of it, the only time that Sasuke heard get loud was when he kissed her for the first time and a handful of other lip locks when he startled her.
