Sasuke sat on the swing, his hands clenching the chains with all of his might as he glared at his toes. It was Sunday and he had no school for the day, so he came to Konoha Park to relax. His friends, Naruto and Choji, were on the slides and they seemed oblivious to the raven's mood. They both had girlfriends, meanwhile Sasuke did not. He could have his pick of girls, but they were too... Obsessed. They only cared about his name and his looks. Uchiha. Sasuke sometimes wished that he hadn't been born into that family, but he never showed it. He never cried when his father favoured his elder brother, either. Itachi was in the army, though, and now he was deployed. It meant that his dad would've had to recognise Sasuke now, but it also meant that his darling brother was being shot at by strangers. When he had told Sasuke that he would always protect him, he hadn't really expected Itachi to go this far.
"Why the long face, Uchiha-Senpai?"
Startled, he looked up to see Ichiki and noted that she was wearing her school uniform.
"I'm just thinking," he evaded, looking elsewhere.
"Uchiha-Senpai, you're going to be alone on Valentine's Day. How does that make you feel?" Ichiki sat down on the swing next to him.
"Tch," he pretended not to ogle her now exposed upper thighs.
"Do you know how to love? And I don't mean the same kind that you give to Itachi or Naruto. Romantic love."
"Does it matter?" Sasuke scoffed.
Ichiki smiled a little bit, her eyes trained on his.
"I kinda thought the same thing, but I have someone that made me see rethink things. My eyes are open to more now," she sighed.
"You're reminding me of Sakura," he cringed.
"When you love somebody the way that Rock Lee loves her, let me know. I'd like to congratulate the woman that melted that icy heart of yours... I'd also like to get her tested and see if she's crazy," Ichiki stood and fixed her skirt.
"Are you saying that som-"
"I'll see you in class tomorrow, Uchiha-Senpai. Make sure that you study, I don't want to outrank you again just because you failed to read your notes," she waved and made her leave.
Sasuke watched her, flabbergasted and stunned.
Part of him wondered if that could be a confession, but he was mostly amazed by how much Ichiki had spoken -- Moreso of what she had said, but the sheer fact that he knew that their little exchange had been her longest conversation yet.
"She's either distracting me or she's trying to be more subtle than a polar bear in a snowstorm," Sasuke sighed.
He decided to ditch Naruto and Choji, opting to take a more direct approach of translating Ichiki Kuran's words. His obnoxious knocks would get her attention sooner or later and she eventually did answer the door, to which he grateful. If it had been Naoki Kuran, her sister, the kiss would've been that much more awkward. That excluded the fact that Naoki Kuran was dating Sasuke's brother's friend, a blond bomb expert by the name of Deidara Namikaze.
In any case, he was relieved that it was Ichiki that went to the door.
He kissed her deeply, delicate for holding onto her shoulders as he prayed that she wouldn't laugh at him or slap him. She was rigid for a few minutes, but smoothly transitioned from the submissive victim to the aggressive predator. Not only did she grab onto his neck with all of her might, but she also forced open his mouth under hers. Naturally, Sasuke wasn't going to be the docile type and they engaged in a war of sorts. He pushed her against the wall, his hands now attaching themselves to her hips as his mouth hungrily attacked her lips.
And that's when her father came home.
