A/N: this is a tester chapter for my story, so please comment with what you think of it!!! It's first person POV (Ichiki.) This is also only an exert... and it's somewhat suggestive towards the end of it...
Looking up at the pouring rain, I couldn't help but crack a small smile. The darkness in the world would withstand the oncoming attack of unrelenting water, as would the light. Good and Evil walk a thin line, as thin as the droplets cascading down my raised arms. I'm cupping my palms to the sky, asking for something to quench my thirst.
"You know, Uchiha-San, sometimes memories sneak out of my eyes and run down my cheeks."
"Tch. Crying is weak," he scoffs, his back to me.
"Perhaps, but it's the saddest people that will smile the brightest."
"Why do I care?"
"Our pasts don't define us, but they make us who we are. We learn from ourselves and progress towards a new tomorrow."
"What made you so talkative?" he looks over his shoulder, frowning.
I shake my head, not entirely sure myself. I'm quiet, I'm stoic. Why am I speaking so much and so plainly to him right now? Reasons flutter through my mind, but I'm not sure if they're little more than excuses. He rescued me. Sasuke trusts me. It's part of my mission. The truth lingers in the back of my guilty mind, fear anchoring it despite my open curiosity attempting to coax it to the forefront.
"The rain brings back memories."
Sasuke nods, turning to face me now.
"It was raining when Itachi took you."
"The rain is all that I remember from that nyght. Maybe that's why I like it so much?" I look up to the sky, lowering my hands now.
"He took you after killing off my clan. He must've used the rain to cover his tracks."
I hum as I listen, drinking from my cupped palms before offering them to Sasuke. After a moment of hesitation, he obliges and presses his lips against my gloved hands and begins to greedily drink.
"Itachi took me from my family. I lost years with them. My childhood was ripped away from me and I couldn't fight against it. Believe me, I understand the anger that comes with his name."
"It's twelve years to the day and the hatred grows stronger within me by the second. His thirst for power led him to slaughter everyone that he called family."
But not you, Sasuke. Maybe, no matter how dark his soul is, Itachi-San will always love you?
"Today's the anniversary of your grief? My apologies. I understand why you wanted to be alone now. I'll leave," I step away, shame filling my brain.
"Don't leave," he's suddenly holding me captive.
He has his strong arms around me, his chest resting against my shoulder blades as his head nests in the crook of my neck. I can feel him shaking, feel his heartbeat against my back going sporadic.
"Memories are sneaking out of your eyes, Uchiha-San."
I turn around in his arms, cupping his cheeks gently as I use my thumbs to wipe away the falling tears. Offering him a smile, I hug him back and lean my head on his shoulder.
"Don't leave," he repeats.
He's broken. Just like me.
"I'll never leave your side," I whisper.
Sasuke pulls away for a brief moment, grabbing onto my shoulders as his lips find mine. It's not the first time that our mouths have met, but it's the first time that's accompanied by need. Tightening my hold on him, I open my mouth to him and his arms sink to my waist. His tongue seeks out my own, a battle breaking out as they roll and press against one another. He's holding onto me like a wolf that's found his meal, digging his nails into me and I pull at his hair.
We're both broken... but maybe our edges could fit together? We could... we could create a new piece...
"Sa-Sasuke," I breathe out as he now attacks my neck.
"Ssshhh... if you're too loud, the others will hear you."
"Ma-maybe we ~ah~ stop?" I'm trembling.
It's my mission to seduce him and bring him back, but I'm scared. I'm scared!
He nips at my earlobe, pressing my back against the wall of the cave. Sasuke next cups the back of my knees, hefting me up so my legs dangle on either side of his waist. To prevent myself from falling, I wrap them around him as well as tightening the grip of my arms around his broad shoulders.
"I'm going to make sure that you can never leave me."
"What?!" I squeal as he palms my outer thigh.
He undoes his kimono styled top, allowing it to fall to the ground below us. Next goes my purple over shirt, his eyes glittering as they look upon my under shirt. Slipping that over my reluctant head, Sasuke bows and takes a bud into his dangerous teeth.
My toes curl up and I scream his name, no longer caring about the other four members of Team Taka.
