Rescue Me - Sabrina Carpenter
Nerah:"So, how exactly are you going to ask him?" Jack asked as we sat on my bed and did homework.
"I'm not sure yet. I'm still trying to figure everything out," I said softly.
"If you guys fall in love, you owe me 50 bucks."
"You can't bet on my love life!" I grabbed a pillow and whacked him with it. He just laughed.
"What if he says no?"
"Are you trying to freak me out and have me not ask him?!" I asked feeling worried.
"No, it was just a question." I groaned. "When's your date, again?"
"It's not a date! We're just hanging out," I corrected.
"Yeah, whatever..." I rolled my eyes.
"Saturday. We hang out Saturday."
"And you're gonna ask him?" I shrugged.
"It's 2 days from now, Nerah!" I groaned.
"I know that, Jack!" I sighed.
"Just don't stress it," Jack said with a smile.
"What if he says no?" I asked.
"Then he says no and our whole squad can stay home and make up some exotic story about why we didn't show up."
"But we're already deep enough in one lie," I said with a sigh.
"A small one though."
"Yeah but the more and more we add to the lie the bigger it gets."
"Just trust me, Nerah. Have I ever failed you?"
"Yeah." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't worry I have it all figured out."
"Do you really?" I asked.
"No, but I will." I grabbed the pillow and whacked him with it again. I laughed.
Zach:
"I'm kinda nervous to take you to Senior Ball with me," I confessed as Loren and I went dress shopping for her dress.
"Why?" She asked from inside the dressing room.
"Because you're absolutely gorgeous and some other dude might try to get at you." She peeked her head out from the curtain and smiled.
"You think I'm gorgeous."
"Yes, I do." I chuckled as she closed the curtain again.
"I don't know about this one, Zach... It looks kinda weird on me."
"Let me see." I looked up from my phone and waited for her to walk out. The curtain opened and she stood there in a baby pink sparkly dress that gripped her body nicely.
"I don't know..."
"Wow," I said softly. "You look amazing."
"Thank you," she said softly.
"Do you want to get that one?" I asked.
"I don't know. Are you down to wear baby pink?" I nodded.
"If my date looks as gorgeous as she does right now, I'll be glad to wear any color."
"I'm being serious, Zach."
"I'm being serious too! I could be wearing a paper bag and you could be wearing a paper bag and you'd still be gorgeous enough to make both of us look good." She smiled and placed a kiss on my lips. "So, this one?"
