Elena POV.

Faster than I can even see Damon has Bonnie pinned against the wall, his arm was pressed against her throat.

"Damon!" I shout, fear begins to close my throat and my heart was racing.

"How would you know that Klaus has this doppelganger?" Damon snarls. Bonnie flinches and struggles underneath his arm.

"Because-" She starts wheezing. "-how else would he have created Brianna?" Choking sounds come from Bonnie as Damon begins applying pressure to her throat. He lets her go and turns around, Bonnie slumps against the wall and Jeremy is by her side in an instant.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asks gently touching her shoulder. Bonnie rubs her throat but nods.

"This isn't exactly the first time he's tried to choke me."

"And it definitely won't be the last." Damon spits. He was pacing back and forth in front of the fireplace. His hands were shaking and he seemed to be walking faster every time he turned around. I knew, we all knew what was coming next, so when Damon hurled a wooden chair across the room none of us even blinked. This was expected of him, every time something was out of his grasp or there was some information he didn't know, he would turn into a maniac. His anger was something he had little control over, it wasn't the easiest thing to get used too. But I had witnessed Damon go through anger fits plenty of times, both as a human and as a vampire, so I knew what to expect.

"We need information-" He snaps turning around. He zips through the room and is in front of Bonnie again before I can even blink. "-and you're going to help."

"What do I have?" Bonnie asks glaring at him.

"Your a witch-" He replies grinning evilly. "-you have connections to the other side, you have grimoires and I bet you could do a locator spell to help find Klaus." Bonnie's face pales and she swallows slowly.

"What if I say no?" Bonnie asks shakily. Damon's eyes narrow, his hand flies out and wraps itself around Jeremy's neck. Fear crushes my heart and before I know what I'm doing I'm yanking Damon away from Jeremy. Damon falls to the floor but quickly stands back up, his eyes widen slightly. My eyes burn and my jaw threatens to split in two as I glare at him. Damon slowly raises his hands and takes a step forward. A hiss escapes my throat.

"Don't you dare." I snarl. Damon's eyes narrow again and he takes a step forward. A growl begins building up in my throat.

"I'll kill you if you touch him." The words are out of my mouth before I can even fully register them. The room is dead silent as everyone takes in my words, I had never threatened anyone before, not even Damon. Sure I had blackmailed people a few times but I never actually threatened to kill someone, not like this. Weight settles on my chest as I realize why this time was different, I had blackmailed people, sure, but the one time I said I would kill someone, I realized that I meant it. I knew deep down into my very bones that if Damon ever laid hand on Jeremy, I would kill him.

I wasn't human anymore, we were evenly matched, in fact the odds were tilted slightly in my favor. I hadn't been a vampire for long, so I was still getting used to my abilities which included super strength, I had even more strength than a regular vampire. Sure I could never win a fight against an Original, but against Damon...

My head snaps to the side as I feel a hand on my arm. Stefan swallows slowly and holds my gaze. He nods and moves his head to the side, it takes me a second to realize that he's telling me where to look. I glance at the direction Stefan told me and notice the emptiness. The living room was completely empty except for Caroline who was still standing by the couch. I close my eyes and try to ignore the burning in my throat, I breathe slowly and feel my fangs begin to recede. The burning in my eyes disappears and I ball my hands into fists to control my anger. I count to ten and then back down to zero slowly, I run my tongue over my teeth gently and find that my fangs had completely receded.

When I open my eyes, I find Stefan smiling widely, I turn to Caroline who had the exact same smile on her face.

"You're getting better at it." She says excitedly clapping her hands. I can't stop myself as I a huge smile appears my face, pride and eagerness fill my chest. I was finally learning how to control myself, ever since I had become a vampire I had been struggling with all my abilities. I had to be super gentle with anything that came in touch with my hands, I was so much stronger than I thought I would be, any little exertion or pressure that came from me would cause any object that I touched to be crushed into a million pieces. My vision was a million times better than it was as a human, I could see every little detail, I could count every grain of sand on a beach if I wanted too. My smelling was a lot stronger too, I could smell things that were miles away.

All my abilities were absolutely amazing, but they were also horrible at the same time. I had to be super careful, especially around humans, any super-fast motion or super strength would have people asking questions and the last thing we needed was to have the city council involved in all of this.

"You're doing great." Jeremy says snapping me out of my thoughts. He smiles before pulling me into a quick hug. I close my eyes and revel in the moment, I was finally making progress, I was finally learning how to control a monster.
