Chapter 10- Beach trip

Chapter 10

Two days. I only have two days left! It been almost three weeks since I got the phone call. The day after the call Red surprised me by taking me and my entire family out to dinner that night. My mom adored him, my little sister has a crush on him, my brothers think he's cool, and my dad said, and I quote 'he's a very we'll put together, sharp young man. I like him for you Brylee.'

Me and Red have become so close! He's always sending me sweet text and random bouquets of daisies at my work. He and Nate come and eat lunch with me and the girls everyday. Nate and Andy totally hit it off! They laugh and tease each other but we all see the way those two look at each other! I won't be surprised if they start going out soon.

Today is Friday and all of us are going to the beach this weekend! Red decided that we all need a nice little vacation this weekend. We are leaving after work to drive to the beach house he rented! It's going to be me, Red, Nate, Andy, Jenna, Alex, Lola, and Reds cousin Aiden. Apparently the hot football player that Lola was going on about the other day at lunch is actually Reds cousin. Red told him about Lola and Aiden insisted he meet her!

I had just gotten off of work and was heading home to finish packing. Today was an easy day and I ended up getting off about 2 and a half hours early. I had plenty of time to finish packing, take a shower and change into some shorts and a cute tank top. I was so excited to spend the weekend with Red! Yes we were also spending it with my friends, Nate, and Aiden but I new there would be some point that we would all split off.

I parked in the driveway and went inside the house.

"Hey ma, I'm home!" I shouted out into the house.

"Afternoon sweetie, your off early." She pointed out. She was in the kitchen stirring something in a huge pot.

"Yeah I get off early, I'm just going to go upstairs and finish packing for the trip." I started up the stairs when she started talking again.

"Okay honey, but Brylee?"

"Yes ma?"

"You remember that if you and Red do anything I will find out and cut his baby maker off and ground you for life right?" My mother sure was something els...

"Yes mother." I rolled my eyes as I walked up the stairs.

After taking a hot shower and packing the rest of my stuff for the weekend I was just about to get dressed when my phone started ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey sweet cheeks!" Reds voice was so cheery but deep and masculine at the same time.

I laughed "Hey little Red, what's up?"

"I can't believe your still using that horrid nick name." I could almost see Red pouting which made me laugh more.

"Oh come on, it's cute!" About a week and a couple days ago me and Red were sitting on his couch watching a new version of Little Red Ridding Hood and in the middle of the movie his mother called him. Of course I told him to answer it so we paused the movie. His mom just called to check on him but when he told her that he was watching a movie with me I literally could hear her squeal! She made him give the phone to me and she started telling me that Red needs to bring me over to meet them and how excited she was to meet the girl her son wouldn't shut up about. We'll Red heard that part and I guess he got a little embarrassed because he blushed! I laughed at him blushing after I promised his mom I would visit soon and we hung up the phone call. I told Red that his blushing was as red as Little Red Ridding Hoods cloak and his name was Red so I started the nick name Little Red.
