Chapter 6

RED POV

Me and and my best friend Nate decided to go to lunch at Logan's today. It's our favorite stake house so we usually go there once a week. He has been giving me crap all day about the so called mystery girl I'm taking out tonight, so I told him we could have lunch and I would tell him everything that happened. We got in my car and I drove to Logan's. We got a nice table right in front of the windows. After sitting down I texted Brylee.

"So explain how you met this mystery girl your actually taking out tonight." Nate told me as I was texting Bry

"She was my nurse when I went to the hospital for my broke thumb yesterday."

"You have only known the girl for barely a day and your already taking her out? Either you hit your head on that machine yesterday or she is model status!" Nate pretends to fan himself like he's hot

"I did not hit my head yesterday and she is not a model. But she could be if she wanted too. She is gorgeous!"

It was true. Brylee is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen! She is gorgeous on the inside and the outside! Her personality is so down to earth, she is caring and sweet but playful and funny. I know this is so stupid for a guy to say this but I feel different with her! I can feel the electricity flow through my body when I touch her and I get so excited when I see her or talk to her. Just the mention of her name sends shivers down my arms. She has completely engulfed my brain with thoughts of her! And it's only been a day!

"Hello? Earth to Red!" Nate snapped his fingers in front if my face. "Dang dude. You've got it bad."

"What are you talking about?" I asked him. I then realized Brylee hasn't texted me back so I text her asking of she is there.

"I'm talking about how consumed you are with this girl." Nate told me like it's obvious.

"I'm not consumed." I lie. I can't have him thinking I'm acting like a girl and drooling over her, even tho I am.

"Yeah yeah yeah whatever. You keep thinking that but when you want to admit it I will be the one to say told you so!" Nate was eating his fries.

I read the text from Brylee saying that her friends distracted her and how saying she is eating at the cafe across the street. I look over and I can see her laughing with three other girls.

"Hey Nate."

"Yeah man?"

"You see that girl in the cafe over there with the dirty blond hair?" Nate shakes his head yes. "That's her. Her name is Brylee."

Nate's jaw drops." That's her man?" I shake my head yes. "We'll now I see why your so infatuated with her. But if this goes bad for you I call her!" I just laugh at my crazy friend because there is no way I'm letting Brylee go! She is already special to me.

"Holy crap man! Who is that girl across from her with the short hair? She is the hottest girl I have ever seen!" I'm surprised at my best friend. Usually he goes for the short little bleach blond girl with huge boobs. This girl across from Brylee has short brown hair and looks to be around 5'9 and is skinny but curvy.

"I don't know man, I can find out tho." I hold up my phone to indicate I can text Bry and ask.

"Hurry up man I need to know!" I send Brylee a text asking who the girl is as the serve brings us out check. We pay and walk out of the restaurant and head straight for the cafe. Me and Nate have the same idea to go visit the girls.

We walk into the cafe. The bell above us signaling that we have entered but I don't pay any attention to the eyes on us. I head straight to my Brylee. Wait did I just call her mine? Okay maybe I do like her a little bit more then I thought.

I pull up a seat for me next to Brylee and Nate pulls up one next to the girl I now know as Andy. We meet the rest of her friends and I talk to Bry about our date and tell her to wear sneakers. I have this entire date planned out. I hope she likes it!

Me and Nate have to get back to the office so we say our goodbyes and I just can't help but to kiss Brylee on the cheek. I need to feel her skin on mine, it's like a surge of adrenaline runs through me when I touch her! It's almost addicting.

Me and Nate leave and head back to the office.

"I need Brylee to give me Andy's phone number!" Nate tells me as I'm driving.

I laugh at my friend. "I'll see what I can do."

"Your the best man!" Nate is acting like a kid being told he gets to go to the park or something. I swear that he is a 6 year old trapped in a 23 year olds body!

"So what's your date plans for tonight?" Nate ask me and we ride the elevator up to our floor.

"Im going to take her up in my helicopter to fly her to my house. Then I'm thinking we ride the for wheelers back to the lake to a picnic."

"How romantic." Nate said in his best girl voice wile batting his eyelashes.

"Oh shut up!" I laughed and punched him in the arm.

"Man that hurt!" Nate pushed his bottom lip out to create a pouty face.

"Whatever man. Get back to work." I walked off toward my office. I heard him laughing as I walked in and shut the door. Pulling out my phone I texted Bry.

-I think my thumb is feeling a little sore. Maybe I should come in to have you kiss it and make it all better!

- What happened to Mr.Macho? Lol

She replied.

- I'm still Mr.Macho! I just want another kiss from my princess Brylee! ;)

- Oh I'm a princess now? We'll then your highness I would be honored to make your thumb feel better ;)

- YAY! Lol I do like my princess in srubs by the way! Is it weird to say I find scrubs hot when you are wearing them?

- That is absolutely weird! ;) But I will take your compliment. Thank you

- Oh course ma lady! Is thine princess ready for the most amazing night of her life tonight?

- The most amazing night huh? Then Im absolutely ready! Lol but I have to go I have patients to see.

- Okay, but no hanging out in handsome, macho guys rooms today! ;p

- I make no promises. ;p jk I will see you tonight.

- pick you up at 7:30 :)

- See you then :)

I put my phone down and picked up the paper work for the new hotel I'm thinking of purchasing. But I couldn't concentrate as tried to read the details of the purchase. My mind kept going back to Brylee. The way her left eyebrow lifts up when she talks or makes certain facial expressions. Her stormy gray blue eyes. The light freckles that dust her upper cheeks and across her nose. Her cute little smile. The way she laughed when we were in the hospital room. Even the way those scrubs look on her! Everything about her has my mind blown. I really like this girl. It's almost scary that after a day I could already feel this strongly about her! One thing is for sure, I can not wait until tonight!
