In Your Eyes

Chapter 35

Ella and Den glanced before looking back at Alyssa, "May mga ibang Atenista na dumayo dito, tapos rinig ko na may nakakita satin dun sa Mcdo." Ella excused and forms a smile while her eyes are slightly pointed at Den who is shivering in fear.

Alyssa nods and said, "Labas na kayo dyan." Ella and Den quickly rushed out of the elevator, they all entered their room and sat on their own beds.

"Thank you." Den mouthed at Ella and the latter nods back at her.

Den lays on her bed with a sign of relief, that would have killed her inside if ever Ella slipped earlier. They all remained quiet for an hour until Ella decides to go out for a while with Mae. Before going out, Ella gives Den a reassuring smile that she will be back soon because Den will feel awkward with only Alyssa inside the room.

I hate this. Den muttered after Ella left, she is busy surfing on her phone and is very uncomfortable. Alyssa is just busy like her and she did not react when Ella left. But the silence went out when Den spoke.

"Hindi kayo nagkasama ni Bang?" Den asked out of her mind.

"Sina Ella lang kasama ko ngayong araw, gumala sina Bang eh." Alyssa answered with inconvenience. Bang! Puro nalang si Bang! Is she pushing me to Bang? She thought and frowned.

Again, there was a sign of relief for Denden. Her emotions have been fighting especially when Bang is around, jealousy is getting the best of her. Then, awkward silence resumed once again.

"Okay ka lang ba?" Alyssa suddenly asked as she observed Den's shift of expression.

Pati 'yun napansin niya? Den whispered, she is undecided of her feelings until now. She would prefer to be alone but Alyssa is around and the latter won't allow her to go out at night, pwera nalang kung kasama siya.

Everything turned more awkward when Alyssa sat beside her, Den steps out of her bed when Alyssa pulled her back, making them face each other very closely. Den heard her heart thump while Alyssa's face even got nearer to her. Lord, help me. Den, just closed her eyes and placed her hand to her chest with a completely frozen body.

"HAHAHAHA!" Alyssa bursts into laughter while looking at Den's face, now color red. Den opens her right eye and saw Alyssa covering her mouth while laughing, she pushed Alyssa's face away and frowned. "Tingin mo ba hahalikan kita? Hindi oy! Hahahaha!"

Den slaps her with a pillow and crossed her arms. Akala ko naman! She mumbled. Woo, gusto mo rin! Her conscience shouted and she messes her hair in iritation. She looks madly at Alyssa who quickly stopped laughing and stares apologetically at her.

"S-Sorry, biro lang yun." Alyssa said and holds her hand. Den couldn't utter a signle word because of the incident earlier. "Sorry, mukhang hindi ka okay eh."

"Kala ko umiiwas ka?" Den asked. Alyssa looks down and takes away her hand, Den slapped her head for asking a stupid question. "I didn't mean to." She said and sits up.

"Really pushing me away?" Alyssa asked then plants a sarcastic smile. Den took her question by surprise and shook her head with a no. Then Alyssa remembered, she was the one who actually started avoiding Den eversince the 'kiss' that happened in the park yesterday.

"No, ikaw nga ang umiwas." Den retorts with a raised voice. How can she? Siya nga ang nagsimula. Ugh! She thought. Den figured some tension raising inside their room and she stands up and walks to the door.

She stopped to turn herself around, Alyssa is also standing with her eyes locked on her. Neither the two moved or said anything until Alyssa steps in and holds her hand again, her eyes now looking desperate at her.
