Derek shoves the thoughts of this morning from his head as he bustles around his apartment getting ready for work. He's late to meet Josie and Richard for breakfast in the cafeteria before he has to take her up to daycare. He jumps into the car, shielding himself from the rain with his brief case. He sighs in frustration, honking his horn at the people driving in front of him as he slowly makes his way through the thick morning traffic.

"Come on, come on, come on." He mutters to himself as he searches for a parking spot. He jumps out of the car, practically running into the hospital the second he parks.

"Daddy!" Josie calls as he finally makes his way into the busy cafeteria.

"Hey baby girl!" He chirps as he scoops her up into his arms.

"You're late again daddy." She says, with a pout.

"I know sweetie I'm sorry." He sits her down at the table with Richard then takes the seat beside her. "Did you have fun with Uncle Richard?" He asks changing the subject. She nods excitedly.

"Mhm! We even made cookies with Aunt Adele!" She leans in close to him, covering her mouth as she whispers to him. "And don't tell Uncle Richard but she even let me eat one...before dinner!"

"Hey i heard that!" Richard teases. Josie erupts into the most adorable fit of laughter.

"Who's ready for breakfast?" Derek asks over enthusiastically.

"Me!" Josie cheers.

"Race yah!" He teases. Josie takes off at a sprint towards the line for food, while Derek and Richard lag behind.

"Thank you for taking her." Richard slaps his shoulder.

"Anytime, you know we love to have her. You had a good night i hope?" He asks. Derek smirks thinking about the mysterious girl at the bar. He nods.

"Oh yeah." He says with a laugh.

They finish their breakfasts and are standing to leave when someone approaches Derek. He glances her way, but thinks nothing of it so he looks back to Richard. Something about her catches his eye so he looks back. He gasps. Its her. Meredith, the girl fron the bar. He watches as she turns and leaves, hurrying away from him. He's stands frozen, staring in awe. He can't believe that she's here at his work. He never thought he'd see her again let alone here of all places.

"Hey Richard? Could you do me a favor and take Josie upstairs? I..uh...I've got some work i need to do." He nods.

"Of course."

"But daddy you were supposed to take me today." She whines.

"I know baby I'm sorry, daddy will make it up to you tonight. Okay?" She nods with a sigh. He kisses the top of her head. "I love you JoJo, I'll be there to pick you up tonight i promise."

"Love you too Daddy." He thanks Richard again then takes off down the hall after Meredith. He catches up to her, gently grabing her arm.

"Hey!" She exlaimes, her eyes wide with suprise. He pulls her into the nearest stairwell, where they're completely alone. "Dr. Shepherd...." He cuts her off.

"Dr. Shepherd? This morning it was Derek. Now it's Dr. Shepherd?" He teases.

"Dr. Shepherd, we should pretend it never happened."

"What never happened, you sleeping with me last night? Or you throwing me out this morning? Because both are fond memories I'd like to hold onto." He says with a smirk.

"No. There will be no memories. I'm not the girl in the bar anymore, and you're not the guy. This can't exist. You get that, right?"

"You took advantage of me and now you want to forget about it." He jokes.

"I did not take-" He cuts her off.

"I was drunk, vulnerable and good-looking and you took advantage." He says with a smile.

"Okay, I was the one who was drunk, and you are not that good-looking." She laughs.

"Well, maybe not today. Last night, last night I was very good-looking. I had my red shirt on, my good-looking shirt, you took advantage." She laughs

"I did not take-" he interupts her again, taking a step closer.

"You want to take advantage again? Say Friday night?"

"No. You're an attending. And I'm your intern." He looks her up and down, smirking as he knows whats underneath,

" Stop looking at me like that."

"Like what?"

"Like you've seen me naked." He smirks again. "Dr. Shepherd. This is inappropriate. Has that ever occurred to you?" He sighs in defeat as she turns and storms away, leaving him alone in the empty stairway. This isn't over yet, he thinks as he heads to work.
