Logan woke up thinking that what he saw was a dream. But when he found Alice next to him, it wasn't.
He stroke her cheek and kissed it. He won't ever let her go. "I won't let you out of my sight."
"Then don't," she said.
"You're awake?" He said. "I thought you were still asleep."
"I was," she said. "But I sense you were waking up; how did you sleep?"
"Well," he said. "I haven't slept like this in a long time."
"Anyways," she stood up. "Let's go; I'll make you some breakfast. And then we can talk about what happened."
"A lot did happen," he said.
"Yup," she said. "And it was frightening, but it all seems to have come out well."
Logan let her use the bathroom first, and he sat there on the bed.
Alice came out a few minutes later, and he went inside.
He looked himself in the bathroom. It's been a long time since he had a good night's sleep. He smiled and did his business and walked out.
He found Alice in the kitchen with San. "So you're telling me you found your soulmate?"
"Yes," San said. "But I rejected her."
"Why?" Alice asked.
"I still haven't gained full control of myself," he said. "And I don't want to latch out."
"You are afraid to hurt her," Logan said. "You have to take the risk even if you do end up hurting her."
"No," he said. "I won't take that risk."
"What if she finds someone else?" Logan asked.
"I will deal with it," San smiled. "Please, drop the subject, and let's talk about something about."
"Alright," Logan said and sat down. "Those waffles smell good. When did you learn to cook?"
"I always knew," she said. "I just, never cook for anyone aside for myself and Alana."
"I see," Logan smiled. "Well, you will have to learn to cook more often. Once we start leaving together, a nice homemade meal won't be so bad once in a while."
She giggled and set plates in front of them. "Here you go."
Logan looked down at the plate, waffles with fruit, sausages, bacon, and eggs. "Wow. you went all out." San said and dug in.
Logan chuckled and began to eat.
The three of them sat there eating. "It seems we are back together once again."
"Yes, we are," San said. "Now we can start planning your wedding."
"San, don't get too ahead," Logan said. "We aren't even old enough to marry, well we can get married. But I want to finish high school and go to college."
"I was only kidding," San said. "But it's good to have you back, Alice. Logan here wouldn't sleep; I was starting to get worried. The lack of sleep was messing his head. Plus, his grades were getting affected. And now that you are here, you can encourage him to do his homework."
"I will do that," Alice looked at him.
Logan groaned. "You snitch, why did you have to go and tell her? Now she is going to make do all that work."
San shrugged. "Well, because if you don't do your homework, you'll be behind."
"Logan," Alice sighed. "I am a bit behind, too; we can study together, so stop complaining."
