1 year later...

"Alright, you go first."

"No, you!"

"No, I wanna hear what your surprise is!"

"I'm too excited, I want you to tell me first instead!"

"Will you two please just decide who's going to tell or I'll do it!"

"Ren, if you ruin our surprise.."

"Right! Hinata, don't even think about it, either, we agreed I'd get to tell!"

"Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of spoiling the baby news—-ah."

"HINATA!"

I giggle and fall backward with laughter against my husband at Hinata's mix up. He dodges Sumire's hands as she starts to swing at him angrily. Glad to see Hinata hadn't changed. He was horrible at keeping secrets!

It had been a wonderful year since we'd all graduated from high school. It had taken some time to adjust to the changes that came with adulthood, but it had all been worth it in the end as it came out to a great new chapter in all of our lives.

Ren and I had married very shortly after getting engaged and found an apartment to live in together. I started working in a local flower shop to gain a little bit more experience while I saved up for my own floristry. My boss gave me lots of advice every single day on things like design, arrangement, and care. I was already eager to get things started, I started to design layouts and everything. I had a long journey ahead, but I knew it'd be worth it in the end. This had been my dream since I'd first met my grandmother and she brought me into her garden.

Ren signed a modeling contract and was rising in popularity. He had already been in several very popular commercials and was going to walk his first runway in a few weeks. He had to change his diet and exercise a bit more, which he hated both of, but he was willing to work hard in anyway that he could to accomplish his dream. He hoped that when he started to make more money, he could purchase a property and help me build a cute little shop. I wanted to put my own money into it, but Ren insisted as my husband. He also said something along the lines of:

"This is your fault for getting me into gardening in the first place. At least let me support you."

Sumire was studying to become a cosmetologist in Tokyo a few hours away from our hometown. She had a small apartment there and a roommate she talked about not getting along with that well, but she didn't mind as long as she got to study. It was the best school around, and from what she would tell me about it, she was learning so much already. After learning everything she could, Sumire wanted to start her own business and sell her own brands of makeup and perfumes. She'd be in beauty school for another few months and move back into town with Hinata so they could get married and get a degree in business.

Hinata went right into his family's business working for his father until he retired. He often talked about the work being tough and the environment being very foreign to him, but he was determined to impress his father and make him proud. He was such a hard worker! I had asked him if his father had ever pressured him into being the owner of the company, but Hinata said he was the one that insisted. His only dream had been to carry out a tradition and make a skillful businessman of himself.

We stayed relatively in the same area and got together as much as we could. I was overjoyed that we were still together after all of this time. My fears were in the past, right where I'd leave them for good.

"You're pregnant?!" I clapped my hands excitedly and Sumire's anger melted away. She clapped with me and nodded excitedly, eyes filling with tears of joy.
