"Owww! My fingers are cramping!"

"Get to work, Ren!"

"Hinata, um...those are really lovely..."

"Thank you, Sumire. Those flowers there resemble you very closely."

"Ah, really? You think so?! They're my favorite!"

"Really? Mine, too!"

"I hate this shovel! Why can't I just use my hands!"

"Ahhh! Ren! Stop it! You're getting dirt all over me! You're going to ruin the flower bed!"

The Flapp Club was assigned to plant and tend to the flowers in the town's nature park. It was a lot of fun so far, despite the trickiness that comes with planting flowers. It was a less than simple task, but the 4 of us still managed to make it fun as if it were another group outing.

"Have you guys finished working on that science project? I haven't even started..." Hours later, we finish our work and sit side by side, boy girl boy girl on the park bench, just soaking up the sunset glow. Ren is the most talkative, keeping the conversation running. We talk about everything under the sun. Literally.

"I finished a few days ago." Hinata says sleepily, relaxing back into the seat.

"Ah, I finished a few days after it was assigned.." Sumire giggled.

"What project?" I said quietly. I was genuinely confused, but the others seemed to take it as a joke and burst into laughter. I didn't want to spoil the moment so I decided to let it go and shrugged it off instead. I had been so busy with the club lately that I hadn't been too focused on school at all.

Ren leans into me and brings his lips next to my ear. The action catches me off guard, his breath tickling my ear. When my heart becomes excited in my chest, he starts to whisper.

"Worry not, Poppy, I'll be your private tutor if you start to fall behind in class."

"R-Ren! Don't joke about things like that..." this was the first time I had been at a loss of words from his charms. It felt like the vibration of his voice was driving me insane, sending chills through my body. I turned away from him to avoid his smirking gaze when he noticed the effect he was starting to have on me.

I check to see if the others heard, and when I see them chattering obliviously, I breathe a sigh of relief.

Geez. He really knows how to flirt. I can't keep up!
