I woke up to the sound of something vibrating next to my ear. I rolled over to see what the noise was coming from. It was my cell phone. Two new text messages were displayed on the screen. I read them out-loud to myself.

"Hey girl!" was the first message. The second text was, "It's been awhile since I've seen you, why don't you come over?"

I sent back a quick message, sounds good, be there as soon as I can. I looked at the time on my screen. Dang, I had slept till 1'oclock in the afternoon!

I raised my navy blue, floral covers off of me and went directly towards my dresser to get changed. I slid on a pair of worn out holy jeans, and a baby blue long-sleeved shirt. My new shoes matched perfectly, so I put them on as well.

I brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth with some LISTERINE. Minty fresh. I then pulled my messy hair into a high ponytail.

As I walked down to the living room, Jake flashed me with a cheesy smile.

"Why didn't you wake me up? It's already one in the afternoon!" I confronted him.

He acted like it was no big deal and replied with, "I didn't want to wake you, and besides you needed the sleep."

"Well, I'll be back sometime later, I'm going over to Annie's." I walked to my kitchen and grabbed me a bottle of water and a strawberry pop-tart, before heading out. Breakfast of champions, let me tell ya.

As I walked out the door Jake shouted, "make sure to be back by 5:30. I don't want to be late for work!" I shrugged and shut the door behind me.

* *JAKES POV*********

I watched as she shut the door behind her. She looked so adorable with her high ponytail. I hated seeing her go anywhere by herself, but I guess she'll be fine since she's just going over to Annie's.

I looked at the puppy lying on the floor. She was sleeping like always. She must have been having a bad dream to, because she was whimpering and her little stubby legs looked like they were running. I picked her up and kissed her little forehead.

Her big brown eyes opened, and she licked me right in the nose. "Yuck!" I said with disgust as I places her back on the floor. Puppy breath sure does stink, but I just couldn't stay mad at her. She was just too adorable.

I though to myself, man, you sure sound like Kayla. She adored puppies. I must have been hanging around her too much. Well, I was practically living with her.

The time on the tv read 2:00 P.M. Kayla should be getting close to arriving at Annie's. My stomach growled, I hadn't eaten all morning. I walked to the refrigerator, and scanned it for something to eat. There was nothing except a gallon of milk.

I decided to pour me a glass and snack on some Oreos. On my tenth cookie, I decided I should take a nap since I had three to four hours before work started. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.....

***UNKONWNS POV******

I watched as the dirty blonde left her house and piled in her old truck. She backed slowly out of her driveway. Tsk, Tsk. Stupid girl, didn't she know not to go anywhere by herself? I thought she was smarter than that.

To avoid being noticed, I stayed two cars behind her as she pulled into the Minit Mart parking lot. I pulled into the parking spot farthest from her. I watched ast the beautiful woman stepped out of her vehicle and headed into the store

I couldn't wait till she's all mine. I smiled with satisfaction as I thought about the night me and her actually got to meet properly. Maybe tonight was the night, no, I shook my head in frustration. I thought to myself, patience man, you will have your turn.

I didn't notice she had even came out of the store, until I heard her truck roar to life. Carefully, I made sure to follow a few cars behind her. After about ten minutes, she pulled into a long gravel driveway. I drove on past because I figured someone lived out there. I made sure not to go farther then walking distance. I parked my truck and headed for the woods.

******KAYLA'S POV*******

I finally arrived at Annie's. It had taken longer to get here than I had remembered. *Knock, knock* I knocked on her door with my boney knuckles, and waited for her approval for me to come in. The door opened.

"Hi, long time no see!" She greeted me as I walked in. Annie sure had changed since the last time I had seen her. It had only been about a year since I helped her move in, but it felt like longer. She had became even more beautiful.

Her once shoulder length hair had now grown down to the middle of her back. Her red hair was fixed into long, wavy curls. Her hair looked perfect. I always envied her for her beauty. It jut wasn't fair.

"How have you been?" I questioned.

"I've been great. You won't believe what happened, she grinned as she continued to talk, Chris asked me to marry him!" She squealed with joy.

I plastered a big smile on my face. "Oh, that's wonderful!" I exclaimed.

Her and Chris had been high-school sweet hearts. They were perfect for each other. She was the head cheerleader that everyone loved, and he was the star quarterback that every girl dreamed of dating. Yep, they were the couple you always see in the movies.

She continued to ramble on about there upcoming wedding day. I kinda dazed off and pretended to listen. I wasn't really into all of that mushy, gushy, lovey, dovey crap.

********UNKNOWN'S POV************

I had parked farther away then I had realized. I was stilly trudging through the woods so I wouldn't be seen. It smelt like fresh pine trees, and the wind was blowing hard. It would be winter before we knew it.

Finally, a small white house came into view. I picked up my pace and rushed to get a better view. I had to make sure nobody was outside. I was going to sneak up to the window and see what was happening.

As I made my way to the window, I heard the back door open. Shit! They were coming outside. I rushed under the back porch, to avoid being seen. After all I didn't want me and Kayla to meet like this. I felt my breathing increase as I thought about her. I had to see her.

I peeked from underneath the porch. I bumped my head as I raised up. Oh shit! I think she saw me. I heard Kayla's say, "did you see that? I swear I just saw someone!" , as I slid back under the porch. I hear the red head say, "you're just seeing thing." They just laughed it off.

I listened to there conversation. They were talking about marriage. The thought of marriage made me sick. After a while I finally hear the back door open. There talking stopped. They must've went back inside. I crawled form beneath the porch and made my way to the front of the house

I watched as Kayla hugged her friend bye. I heard the rumble of her truck, as she pulled out of the driveway. I slowly crept back to the porch, and crawled back under it. I waited patiently.
