"I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready-!" Spongebob's high-pitched voice boomed from the television. I had the volume turned up full blast to try and keep all thoughts of Jake out of my mind.
I spooned the last bite of Oreo ice-cream out of the bucket. When in doubt my philosophy is to eat a big bowl of dessert and everything will be fine.
Yeah, the sweet treat may of kept my mind off of Jake for a little while, but now my stomach was finally catching up with my mouth.
I listened to my stomach rumble, growl, and make any other kind of noises you can think of. I fled to the bathroom now realizing I was going to see my food all over again.
I spit one last time in the toilet before flushing it. Puking has to be one of the most worst feelings in the world. Just thinking about it gave me a sick feeling.
I looked in the mirror. My reflection showed a face that was extremely pale, much more paler than normal. My hair was tied up in to a messy bun with random hairs sticking out in every direction. I looked and felt like crap.
Before heading towards the kitchen, I brushed my teeth to get the awful taste out of my mouth.
I opened the kitchen cabinet revealing several different types of medicines. It almost seemed like I had my own little pharmacy.
When I finally found the medicine I was searching for, I plopped two white pills into my mouth. Hopefully they would reduce the pain that I felt in my stomach, and help medicate my pounding headache.
My head literally felt like it was going to explode. I could feel my heartbeat pounding through my ears. 'thump, thump' I seriously needed to get some rest.
I pulled the soft red blanket over me as I tried to make myself feel comfortable. I failed; I couldn't see how Jake managed to sleep on this couch. After all he could've slept in the guest bedroom if he wanted to.
I stared at the television screen trying to pay attention, but I failed miserably. I just couldn't focus on anything with all my thoughts flowing through my mind. After one long hour, my thoughts slowly faded as I drifted into a deep sleep.
**
I woke up to the sound of a door closing. Usually I was a heavy sleeper and could sleep through almost anything, but some how the little click of the door managed to wake me up.
I glanced over to take a look at my alarm clock. 11:11. I'm very superstitious so I decided to take advantage of the time that was shown on the clock.
I made my wish right before the clock switched to 11:12. I always wished on shooting stars, candles, or the time. Most of the time my wishes never come true though. Bummer.
I focused back on the noise I had heard earlier. I get easily distracted, thus the reason it's easy for me to forget things.. but not this time.
I crept slowly downstairs unaware of what I was going to see or find. I made my way to the bottom of the staircase. I almost tripped and broke my face but being the awesome ninja I was, I managed to stop it from happening.
My mouth flung open as my eyes landed upon what was placed in front of my door. The first word to pop in my mind was Jake.
I read the card that was placed in the lap of the humongous teddy bear. It was signed 'Love Jake' it was an apology card. Strange, I thought to myself I was the one that should be saying sorry, not him.
Seated on the ground the brown and fluffy bear came right to my thighs. I picked it up and hauled it up to my room. The bear was actually pretty heavy for what it was. Well, I have no muscles so I'm probably over exaggerating its weight.
I placed it in the middle of my bed. It actually brightened up the room and added a little character to it as well. My room was plain-there were no pictures on the wall and also the walls were painted a white, almost cream color.
I smiled as I walked back downstairs. Now it was my turn to apologize to Jake, the right way.
I grabbed my phone from the coffee table and typed a quick message.
It said, "Jake I'm so sorry about yesterday. Will you please come over? We need to talk."
I glanced back down at my phone screen. A tiny message popped up on the screen. 'Message Sent'
