So, I know I haven't posted in a while, but thank you to the people who have commented recently. You've reminded me that this is here and that there are people reading my story. I hope you guys are enjoying it! Enjoy...

"Bloody hell, they are so loud," I complained to Jeremy.

A couple tables over, most of the muggles from yesterday morning were sitting around a table, laughing and talking. They'd been loud the first day at lunch, but now their annoying screeching was more constant.

"I know, it's so exhausting. Do you know how mum is coming along with getting us into a wizarding school?" Jeremy asked.

I was about to say no, I did not know, but I hoped she would hurry up, when it happened. It sounded like a chorus of dogs baying, but it was too loud for the regular mutts muggles kept as pets.

Back at Hogwarts, some students told stories of three-headed dogs, and if I'd had to guess, that's what I would have said it might have sounded like. Except, it sounded like there could have been a dozen of them. Were there dark wizards in America? Were they here to get us?

I looked at Jeremy to make sure he'd heard it, and then I noticed that a certain table had stopped talking. Most of the people in the cafeteria hadn't acknowledged that they'd heard it, but a sudden silence had fallen over the obnoxious new kids.

As I watched, three of them excused themselves and started walking in the direction of the office. When they disappeared from view, Peter stood up and started walking towards the washroom. With only two of them left at the table, Marina said something to Clary and walked out into the hallway with her phone to her ear. After a few more seconds, Clary stood up, looked around, and then pulled something small out of her backpack, followed by something that looked like a pencil.

"Awfully bad timing, isn't it?" Jeremy noted.

"Do you think any of them could be wizards?"

His nose turned up. "Doubt it, little sister, but I guess there's only one way to know for sure."

Slowly, we rose and began walking towards the nearest doors. If they were just muggles, they were awfully stupid ones if they thought they could take on wizards. They'd be dead in a heartbeat.

We pushed through the doors and I caught my breath. There were more than a dozen dogs, probably close to thirty, and none of them were three headed. They all had a single, terrifying head with glowing red eyes. Each was probably the size of a tank.

Jeremy grabbed his wand. "Stupefy!" The spell hit the nearest hound, but it didn't seem to have an effect. Slowly, it turned, annoyed, and began bounding towards us.

Somewhere off to the side, a male voice yelled something that sounded like, "Mrs. O'Leary," and out of nowhere, another dog seemed to materialize and tackle it to the ground, probably saving our lives. "Run," I heard the same voice scream again, and this time, I thought it sounded familiar.

"Come on, Jeremy," I said, pulling at his sleeve. "This is not our fight."

And there you go, another successful chapter. Peace out. :)
