It was quite the sight really, to see a bunny hybrid in his closet trapped in his oversized blue shirt like a straight jacket. He didn't know what to think or what reaction he was suppose to show, so instead he choose to coo over the bunny.
The bunny looked like a deer caught in headlights as he stared back at the male. Taehyung had placed him in bed before he left this morning but after about 30 minutes of pretending to sleep, he crawled right out of the bed and wondered around the house on all four. Technically it wasn't his fault, how was he supposed to sleep in the morning when he just woke up.
The older, after spending a solid 10 minutes of cooing at the younger with a hand over his mouth, finally began to free the younger from the over complicated contraption. Once he was done he folded back the shirt and tossed it in his overly disorganised closet before picking up the bunny by slipping his hands under his armpits. It wasn't difficult, even when the younger seemed to fight his embrace. If anything, it was like carrying a little boy.....or even Yoongi. Taehyung smirked at that thought.
"Hi kookie, did you just wake up?"
If Taehyung saw the bunny's expression he would be shocked by the angry, but adorable, scowl he had on.
"You missed me right. Off course you did. I missed you too. Do you want to here what happened at the meeting today. My god it was so boring-"
The older began to walk them down stairs to the living room before placing the bunny on the couch.
"-then I started to wonder how zebra's got there strips. I was that bored." He reached for the remote before collapsing next to the bunny who jumped and kept his ears up in high alert.
The TV was turned on drowning the olders mindless chattering. The younger stared ahead, lost in his thoughts.
How did I get here? How many days has it been? Is this another test?
Discomfort in his mid section pulled him out of his head. He knew what the discomfort meant and it lead him staring at the older who had his eyes glued on the television screen.
Taehyung, who was very shocked by Bruce's actions when he fired Alfred in Gotham, had his attention stollen by the younger who pocked him in the arm, and ended up staring into his addictive chocolate doe eyes.
"Awww, do want me to hold you?"
No, human, give me food.
"Your so cute." The older pulled the pouting bunny on his lap only to receive a slap on his hands and a whine from him. Taehyung was alert and studied the frown on kookie's face with concern. "Did I hurt you somehow?"
FOOD!
The older tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow, causing the younger to internally scowl and point to the kitchen. Taehyung followed the finger to the direction of the spacious food room before the gears in his head began to turn.
He hadn't feed his bunny since yesterday afternoon.
"Oh shit sorry." the older stood up before rushing to the kitchen, leaving the younger on the couch, rolling his eyes and signing.
Taehyung cursed at himself as he placed the waffle mix in the waffle machine. He felt so stupid for forgetting that the bunny needed to eat. He sometimes wished that he wasn't so easily distracted. Maybe then he would be a much better caretaker.
He plated the food and took it to the living room as well as a glass of water. He placed the plate gently on the table before watching as the bunny slowly sniffed the food before lifting his hands, utensils ignored, and inhaled the food.
The older hid back a laugh as he returned to his position on the couch, simply watched the younger eat as if it was his last. "BunBun I think you should slow down, the food isn't going anywhere."
The younger slowed down only to cringe internally.
BunBun? What the hell is that?
Ignoring the pet name, the younger followed his suggestion and began to eat his food at a suitable speed, his mind adrift as his thoughts seemed to sink in. Thoughts revolving around his whereabouts and who this Taehyung guy was. Was he his saviour? He wouldn't know. Should he trust him? He wouldn't know. He sneaked a peek at the older who seemed to be focusing on his phone. He studied him from how his brows frowned in concentration to his lips which remained in an attractive line. He was the looker, the younger was certain.
But should I really trust him?
The thought revolved around his very being as he looked straight ahead, staring at the flashing lights on the screen.
He was at a battle with himself, he had just met this Taehyung. He knew so little of him but the fact that he had shown him nothing but kindness seemed to stand out. If he were to give his trust, would the older use him? Abuse him? Betray him? Tell his doctor? Or would he treat him kindly? Possibly befriend him. He didn't know. But there was only one way to find out.
He swallowed the waffle before closing his eyes, his body on a cliff as he jumped in and opened his mouth.
"Jeon Jungkook."
🐰
His pale hand gripped the bags of groceries tighter as he walked the path to his house not too far from the store. Yoongi, dressed in an all black attire consisting of black jeans with a long black shirt and sneakers, trotted the way back to his apartment.
He looked around the area with each step, watching as kids ate sand in the park across the street and the old couple strolling while holding hands. However, despite all this positive nature around, all Yoongi wanted to do was get home and sleep. Having that thought in mind seemed to egg him to walk faster....that is until he heard a thud in the alley near his apartment.
He slowed down until he came to a stop, head turning to the rather dimly lit space containing two trash bins on each side. He almost brushed it off until he had heard it again. A thud which echoed through his ears.
He gulped, immediately feeling tense and alert due to his profession, however, he was not prepared for what he saw.
Peeking from behind a bin was a mop of orange hair with equally orange ears standing upwards in alert and glowing green eyes staring directly into his brown, frozen ones.
