A/N: .........hi.
"You know, I was doing some research, and I found out that you're basically a genius. Who would have thought that your clumsy ass would be Einstein." Jin laughed to himself dryly, watching the older's peaceful features and the slow rise of his chest.
He had come to visit Namjoon again despite how busy of a schedule he had. He felt like he needed to be here to clear his head, hence why he sat in the hospital chair at this moment, listening to the steady beeps of the E.C.G with his hand entangled in the younger's limp one.
"Do you want to hear a joke?" he asked, before raising his hand towards Namjoon's head, slipping his palm under it and lifting the younger's head just a bit so he could make Namjoon nod his head. "You do? That's great! I have a good one."
He squealed happily before clearing his throat. "Did you hear about the guy who got hit by a soda can?"
He waited as if the younger was listening before continuing the joke, "Good think it was a soft drink." And his windshield laughs filled the air, masking the sound of machines with light giggles. The older laughed by himself, slapping his knee's before wiping the tears from his eyes. He may have over reacted, but he didn't care. He didn't want to sit in the dull atmosphere any longer. He wanted to feel the air around him with joy, not sorrow, hence why he was trying to be cheerful, hoping that Namjoon could hear him despite not seeing him.
"Do you want to hear another joke?" he asked quietly, eyes meeting the younger's closed ones, hoping by some miracle that they would open. Hoping that he would smile again, flashing those dimples that he had grown to love. He wanted to hear the younger's laugh again and listen to him talk about nonsense. He would even be ok if the younger broke every single thing in his house or cooked burnt meals for Jin all the time if it meant that Namjoon would be ok.
He had known Namjoon for over a week, but despite that, he had already felt an attachment to him. A bond that Jin couldn't understand. It wasn't love, it was too early to say he was in love with him, but rather, it was a potential romance. An attraction bound with deep admiration—something that Jin hadn't felt before, and he didn't want to lose it.
A sad smile formed on his lips. "Did you hear about the guy who got his left side cut off?......well he's all right now!" He exclaimed, false cheerfulness leaking from his lips before it slowly died down.
He was still asleep.
No movement what's so ever.
Not even a twitch or the tiniest of movements.
Nothing.
Jin signed, eyes dropping to their intertwined fingers in disappointment before the ringing of his cellphone stole his attention. The device shook in his pocket like a vibrator, stimulating the nerves on his right butt-cheek. He pulled it out, looking at the screen to see the name 'incapable' flash on his device.
"Yes Jackson?"
"Master Kim...."
And the words that followed next was a surprise to the both of them.
Jin stood up in urgency, however, he still held Namjoon's hand in his own as he continued to listen to Jackson's words over the phone. He was surprised, but somehow relieved.
They had found it.
And like a switch, his past anger resurfaced and bubbled in his chest as the memories of the lost lives of his unfortunate ARMY crept into his conscious once again.
"Jackson." He cut the male over the phone off, voice stern as his eyebrows lowered, making his features take on a serious expression. He looked towards the younger who lay in the hospital bed, face peaceful despite the many machines which were attached to him. He watched the slow rise and fall of Namjoon's chest as he slowly rubbed the skin on the younger's pale hand. "Schedule a meeting with ARMY immediately." He spoke, voice affirmative as he drew circles in the younger's palm.
