Eating dinner felt like being held for hostages. After dinner, I left the table to go to the kitchen to escape the suffocating aura. I went over to one of the maids called Sunny. "Do you know why everyone is acting so weird?" I whispered to her while she was doing the dishes. She stopped washing one of the dishes and stared at the running water,"It's not my story to tell ma'am. I'm very sorry." She said respectfully before she continued washing the dishes. I smiled softly before leaving the kitchen. I saw as I was walking to the dining room, Dino talking to his mother. They were talking alone the hallway and I slowly hid behind a wall. "I decided to not live with you knowing the decisions you made. That's why all of us decided not to live with you. Just because you came back to beg doesn't mean our minds will change!" Dino said as the mother stared down at him. "How dare you say that to your mother? I am your mother not some slut!" She yelled. Slut? Where did that come from? The mother had so much anger and she lost it. She brought up her hand to slap Dino but I rushed in front of Dino using my speed. I grabbed her wrist before I got slapped instead. "Don't slap my brother." I said while squeezing her wrist. "Oh my. So brave may I say?" She said while tilting her head. I kept on a face that was emotionless. "You are just like your father. Brave but stubborn." She commented knowing it triggered a spot. "Yuna..." Dino quietly said behind me. I grit my teeth and clenched my jaw. I grabbed Dino's hand and took him to my room living his mother speechless but amused. I shut the door behind me and went up to Dino who was sitting on the bed. "Tell me why you and the others are so cold to your mothers? And how does she know anything about my father?" I spurted out not even noticing how fast I was speaking. I took a deep breathe and looked at Dino. He looked up at me and signaled me to sit down next to him. He dropped his eyes down to his hands. "My mother gave birth to all thirteen of us. It must've been hard. Giving birth to Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Woozi as quadruplets. Having triplets with Jeonghan, Joshua and Seungcheol. Another set of triplets and twins. Finally she had me as an easy birth. She pressured all of us to become the best and nothing but the best. Having studies 24/7 and activities all day were exhausting. She never told us stuff like 'I love you' or 'good job'. If anything she just pushed us away. We never saw her but she always told the maids to make sure we study. One day while I went to the market to escape from studying, I saw mother with another man. They were holding hands and kissing. They were happy. The thing that shocked me the most was that there was a son and a daughter. They looked exactly like mother. I found out that mother was having another family. One that no one knew about. I told all of my brothers but not my parents. A couple days after, mother left. She never came back. Sometimes she would come back to visit begging all of us to join her other family. I would never join her." Dino clenched his fist and stared into it. "Does my dad have anything to do with it?" I asked hoping I didn't sound selfish. He thought deeply for a while before shaking his head. There must be a connection. How can this random lady know my dad so well? I looked at Dino controlling his anger. I gave him a sad smile and held his hand,"It must've been hard." I whispered making him teary. I embraced him into a hug while he buried his eyes into my shoulders. He slowly cried softly trying to not make it obvious. I touched his hair caressing it softly. "I'm glad I can have a mother now. And also a younger sister." He whispered. I realized it's been about a month since I moved in. Ever since I became closer to everyone. It felt fun and full. I don't know what I mean by "full" but it felt as if it was complete. I realized how much we teased each other, had little arguments, made up quickly, looked out for each other and even shared secrets with each other. It's weird. It was as if I knew them for my whole life. Even though we were in a touching sibling moment, I was still so curious about that mother and my father. There must be a connection. Dino got out of the hug and looked at me,"Do you think she left yet?" I stood up and sighed loudly. "I'm not sure. Let me see if I can feel her presence." I close my eyes concentrating. I didn't find any other woman presence expect for my own mother. I shook my head. "She left." I said. Dino stood up slowly looking at the door. I went over to my desk and sat down looking at my unfinished homework. I picked up my pencil and opened the textbook. I still felt Dino's presence. "Don't worry. Your mother isn't here." I said before putting in my earbuds. Before I turned on the music, I heard Dino whisper, "Thanks Yuna." He left. I smiled softly. Glad I can help, Dino.
