[ Simanda ] Any happy ending for us?

Chapter 10: 2008 - It's still you

   Simon's POV:

As far as I know during the time working with her, Amanda is a really strong woman. She wasn't the kind of person who will cry. That's why I was really taken aback when she cried at the party. It's actually normal if a woman cries before their most important of their life, their wedding day. However, I still don't believe Amanda had cried in front of me.

Amanda's wedding occurred really successful. Although I wasn't feel like attended in her wedding, I came at last. Amanda looked beautiful in her dress, slowly walked toward the stage, and right there, her bridegroom- Chris Hughes was waiting to hold her hands.
   I see her after the wedding
- I know I've said it before. Happy wedding, Amanda
-Thank you for your congratulations, Simon. You look enjoyable in the wedding, I hope you love it.
- Of course. It was such a special feeling that I can see my friend smiled happily. Oh, and you look really beautiful when you smile, so promise that you will always keep that shiny smile and be a strong woman
-I promise, Simon
She comes to me and give me a tight hug

The new season of BGT will start the first day next week. After a conference, me and many other staffs decided to keep the old judges of last season. I called Piers and Amanda, both of them agreed to involve in the show. And about the presenter, Ant n' Dec and Stephen will still hold their position. They've done an excellent job in presented the show, it would be hard to find someone as good as them.
The first day start earlier than I expected. We have many things to prepare. I have some useful experience and feel more relieve because this is the second year. The other judges soon come to theatre. I can clearly hear the screaming of the audience, they definitely really looking forward to us.

A lot of people calling my name. I become more and more famous after the first season.
This is the first time me and Amanda meet again after her wedding. I see Amanda and try to call her. But the crowed is so noisy that she couldn't hear me. I first want to call her again but I quickly realise that I should not be so close to a woman who have just get married. When we all sit on the judges's chair, I just said hello to Amanda and then  talk with Dec
" The judges and all the audience, please get back to your sit, the first contestant will come out in few minutes"
I call Dec to go into the backstage. Amanda turns off and put her phone back to her pocket, Piers gets back to his sit. All of us are now ready.
I try not to talk so much with Amanda, I don't want to be so close to her, because Chris is here, sitting behind me. I just turn to Amanda when really necessary. I couldn't behave like the way we used to. Even Amanda wants us to become closely to each other, and think I won't feel comfortable to behave and talk like the past. In fact, there is now a huge space between us.
We end the first day in the evening. Amanda said she wants to introduce me to her husband. We have met two times at the party and the wedding, but I don't have much time to talk to him.
- This is my boss, Simon Cowell. You've met him before
- Nice to meet you, Mr.Cowell. Thank you for being my wife's partner
- Oh, it's my pleasure. Amanda is a really nice person, it's good to work with her
We then shake hand and ask some questions
- Darling, I think we should left now. We will have dinner with my family later
Chris said to Amanda.
- You should left soon, Amanda. See you tomorrow.
- It was so sudden. I will call you later Simon, goodbye.
She gives me a hug and quickly moves out with Chris.
I still standing there for a while after she left. I can't even said goodbye to her. She left so fast. I know Amanda doesn't feel confused when talking to me, but I do. I always said to myself that my feeling for Amanda was completely end, I don't have to think about her anymore. However, it wasn't. I keep thinking about her all the way home.
  Amanda, she looks really happy with her husband just like what I wish. Amanda is always be the same as the first day I met her. Still being gorgeous, still has her own special shiny smile, but not belong to be anymore. Actually, she's never mine. Even I know she is a kind of flirtatious person, she talks closely to the other too, I couldn't make out what should I do now. I call Harry
- I'm now don't know what to do. Harry, gives me some advices
- Oh Simon. You're absolutely different from you used to.
- What am I used to?
- Arrogant, bossy, frigid. My best advice, please turn back to you used to!
Harry's right. I've changed a lot when I met Amanda. Therefore, the only way to forget about her is being frigid. She's now married, so there is no reason for us to be too close to each other and moreover Chris won't have misunderstand about us. Just being as two friend, not crossing the line, that is what I should do.
I will become a person like what other people think about me. A fastidious and quite cold-blooded.

I can't believe that I've written 10 chapters. I first just want to write for fun fun in my free time and never think I will come this far.
